I feel you're right about the Land Raiders getting the MTC Special Rule simply because of their mass and size. Especially for their base points cost, they could do with a bit extra.

With the Siege Shield, that could be good as well. Additionally or conversely, I also am toying with the idea of it adding a +1 Modifier to Front Armour, but to balance that, the Siege Shield could be destroyed by a Weapon Destroyed result on the Vehicle Damage Table.

As for Dozer Blades though, I feel like they wouldn't constitute getting the MTC Special Rule, but I feel that could confer a bonus when moving through cover - especially relatively minor things like craters.

Roll two dice, if there's not snake eyes staring back at you, you move on. That's nothing compared to what infantry armies have to do to get through terrain. Vehicle rolls are about the easiest roll there is in the game. What is being proposed gives a ridiculous advantage to mechanized lists while screwing the armies that either don't have transports or can't take Dozer Blades. Awful idea.

For a 1-6 chance, I think just making it automatic, rather then a re-roll is fine. Particularly for the points you pay.

I’m also fine with boosting the siege shield and giving MTC to LRs. Both those things need a little love.

Plus, isn't a dangerous terrain roll once per phase, so you can move through as many different terrain pieces as you want, but at most it is still only a single roll per vehicle?
