Hello! I am meathead595, i am getting back into warhammer 40k. I am getting a tyranid swarm + hive fleet kraken paints (MrWatchingPaintDry tutorial) in a few months and would love to make a blog project on it, to keep motivated
I just have a few questions,
- What is the Dakka Dakka gallery? It said something about it in the rules of the blog sections if i can remember.
- Do they have to be good quality pictures? I have my Iphone to take pictures but i dont have a lightbox.
- Lastly, do they have to be painted well? I am following a tutorial, i will try to make them look good, but i cant promise it.

Thanks alot guys! Cant wait to settle down in the community

Hi there.

1. The gallery is where Dakka users can post pictures of their painted minis. These can be anything from Space Marines to Sherman tanks.

2. They don't have to be good quality, but I would advise getting a good lighting source at best. iPhones should have a good enough camera.

3. Again, they don't have to be painted well, but I would advise against showing really awful models. If you're starting out a P&M blog would be great for motivation like you said, and you will see progress as the blog goes on. Several P&M blogs show progression and some (like Para's and Gitsplitta to name a few) have beautifully painted minis to look at for inspiration.

Welcome to Dakka!

Yeah, that will be fine for pictures. Looking forward to 'em! I have to get 3 units done by Satuday for a campaign, so I'll be struggling to a deadline along with you

Welcome to the Dakka. I am looking forward to seeing the results of your Tyranid swarms. I personally prefer tutorials by theApatheticFish as he is one of the few that still updates his channel (where have you gone, MrWatchingPaintDry and Buypainted?)
