Since I've got most of these guys done now, time for a showcase thread to get them all in one place.

Squad Donatus

Jensus Natorian, the Librarian:

The first JP Marine, Antor Delassio:

And the man himself, Chaplain Ortan Cassius. Without a doubt, the nicest model GW have done in a long time:

The Kill Team so far, just the biker, terminator and other jumper to add now.

Thanks for looking, any thoughts welcome and if you could take a moment to vote on some of these in the gallery it'd be much appreciated. Cheers.

Great collection Para. Despite them having the same colour scheme, I feel like you bring something new to each model. Well done!

I... actually don't know. Help?

Great job as always! I must ask, how did you get that subtle blood effect on the Space Wolf?

Cheers. Just a very sparing use of Blood For The Blood God there.

Amazing work! Very good use of Blood for the blood God too.
You also did good work on a lot of the finer details.
Love it!

Just here to echo what I said in your PM blog, they look utterly amazing! And to say something new:I've just noticed how great Cassis' shaved scalp looks, how did you do the stubbly hair?

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Very nice. I gave most of the helmetless marines helmets for my crew(Cassius, Librarian, White Scar, and Space Wolf did not get helmets), but yours look nice all the same. I really love how dirty and worn you have made their armor.

Thanks guys!

@Bottle: Cassius's hair was done by painting the head completely as normal (build up from a dark red to get the depth, and left redder in the scarred area), then applying a couple of very light layers of Nuln Oil on the areas I wanted the stubble. The only tricky part was avoiding it pooling, you need to watch it until it's dry and spread any pools when they form.

Ta!

Full team finished up now!

Garran Branatar:

Jetek Suberei:

Edryc Settorax:

And the full Kill Team in all their glory. Dead happy with this lot, a nice open-and-shut project that's come together exactly how I'd hoped it would.

As ever, any thoughts, comments and questions welcome, and any votes greatly appreciated! Cheers for looking!

Fantastic Para! Love everything about them.

Do you have the cult models too? I'm hoping to see you paint some of those up too.

Not yet... I will get the full game at some point. My summer project will probably be between that, another BaC set done as traitors or finally grabbing the AoS starter set or small army (which will be at least 80% your fault, Bottle!) depending on whether my gaming group has any interest in the game by then.

In the mean time, I'll finally be getting my AdMech on!

I find it odd that DakkaDakka where "you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy" can be such an awesome advertiser for GW.
"Saving throw failure" imminent on buying this gosh darn thing.

Haha, cheers!

Can't recommend the box enough. The Marines are all bloody stunning models, if the Cult are as good (I'll get my hands on them one day!) and I have no reason to think they wouldn't be, from what I've seen, it a great set and very good value.

@Joe: Yeah, that's the biker's eagle, I reckoned it'd be both more awesome and more stable here than perched very precariously on the teleport homer antennae.
