I am finally getting the hint, and am sort of at peace with it. GW doesnt want me to play with my orks.
So what to do with ~5000+ points of orks ? Is there any other game where you could use them in.
Or should I just sell them all.

Stash 'em, play something else. Maybe Malifaux.

When the fatalistic feeling passes, maybe Orks will have a new codex and you'll have 5000 points of Orks just waiting to be played.

There's any number of SF skirmish rules for 28mm figures. You can use your Orks with those.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

If people use the Orks codex to run Squats, do something similar.
Maybe the IG and AdMech codexes have similar squads to Orks, and you can use those rules instead? Or a mix of some of the others.

Nope not going to use it as an other 40k army.
I already own a quite large imperial army that I recently shelved.

How do you mean?

Surely the look is created by the figures and terrain you use.

I mean is there any game that uses at least some models that kinda could be represented by (converted) orks without being too much of a stretch.

Does it have less balance issues, and is it fun to play or does it fix other issues?
If so I might just give it a try.

Mantic rules are free beta online they are going to be released later this year. Sorry I have not played either of those games. I'm in the same boat as you have all these orks and looking for something better to play.

I haven't seen any in the half dozen or so games I've played between Chaos, Orks, and Imperial Guard. I think they're fun to play - the rules make for fast, bloody games with pretty simple rules that still offer decent tactical choices on the table.

Yeah I looked at the rules, they don't look that bad at all.
Not sure if I can find an opponent willing to play it but it looks fun for fast games.

The other thing that came into my mind would be to use the epic rules for 40k models. Would this be an option ?
