Looking to expand my list up to 1000 points, just wondering if it would be fun to play. I'm not super worried about it being competitive or whatever. As long as it doesn't suck! I want to add a Stormraven eventually to make the Ironclad a little more mobile (risky I know).

What a strange way of writing out an army.

My first thought is that everything is rather stationary. At this stage I'd be inclined to reduce the size of one of the Crusader Squads and put them in a Razorback or something, then drop the Stormtalon and put the full-sized Crusader squad in a Stormraven. That'll give you more options for claiming objectives, while not diminishing your air cover.

That said, if you mostly play on 4'×4' boards, this army would probably be perfectly serviceable, what with the Crusader SR and all.

Edit: Alternatively, if you want a cheaper way of getting that Ironclad in nice and early, putting it in a Drop Pod will be great.

I like my stormraven, but would not put anything more then a throwaway scout unit in it for serious games. If you want to get that ironclad into the fray, drop pod is the way. Although with the HB, it’s not terrible just slogging across the table.

I think your chaplain would be better off with a jump packs with the assault marines. Not sure where you plan on putting him as-is. Most of the time I prefer to get the extra attack from the bolt pistol then the one shot with the combi.

Crusader squads look OK. I’m not that fond of MLs these days, but they are generically useful. I think 2xLC is a bit overpriced on a 1W sarge. I’d just stick with a power sword and pistol. Don’t forget you can still take the special weapon.I’d put a flamer in the CC squad and a melta in the shooty one.

You should either upgrade the AM sarge to vet for the extra attack, or move the evisorater to a random squad member so it can’t be challenged out. Also, there is no reason to have both it and the melta bombs on the sarge.

Talon and Pred are fine.

Tidied that up a bit.

Your bolter crusaders are a bit schizophrenic- the drop pod will get them close so they can fire the combimelta shot? Assuming that's to alphastrike a vehicle, bolters arent doing anything and the missile launcher can only snap fire a krak.
If you're dropping down to double tap against infantry, the missile launcher can't snapshot in frag mode.

You'd be better off standing off somewhere and firing the launcher from turn 1 in which case a few extra bolter rounds (neophytes) arent going to matter as much and the combimelta is a bit of waste.
Consider making a min-max squad of 5 initiates with a missile launcher and maybe a plasmagun as backup. Alternately, take a tactical squad as they can combatsquad and drop the melta elements closer whilst the missile launcher provides long range support.

Throw all the neophytes into the chainsword squad (if they are models you already own, those bolters are bolter-form shotguns) as extra wounds to get your inititates to combat and extra shots/attacks on the charge when they get there.

I have no opinion on flyers.

The Ironclad dread seems pricey for a dread- 50 points for some upgraded front armour? And you're waving bolters around as the main ranged weapon with two missiles as your backup? I tend to run dreads stock with multimeltas or assault cannons, threatening vehicles up to 24 inches without being a points sink.
Consider swapping him, the rhino and the combimelta swordbrother for a Landraider Crusader with multimelta- you've got your melta on a solid transport platform to replace the rhino and you've even gained an extra hurricane bolter and set of assault cannons.
