After many years longing to do it, at last I decided to start a Space Wolves army. The idea is to design a 1500 list to start from and learn how the army and his different units works, making sure it is at the same time thematic and competitive enough for being able to participate in my local store tournaments. I've been studying posibilities for weeks and I think I have a quite sactisfactory list:

Any retouch you consider necessary? As I've said at the beginning, this is a list to start from. In the future I hope to include other units, but for now I prefer to begin with something like this.

Iron Priests with 4 Cyberwolves are now 185 points and fits in the HQ slot. So you can't run this list as a CAD unfortunately D:

I thought you could use either profile, according to a WD article?

You can use either,

If you wanted to bring it as an HQ you can take the Codex CAD as it has 6 HQ slots.

As far as I understand, you can use either, it depends on what do you prefer.
I chose them because I know they are probably the hard unit of the SW, but I don't want to play a pure Wolfstar. I hate the typical tournament lists, but at least I want to try one of this badass units xD
