With a sudden urge to like communist colours. Red and yellow. So I paint the shoulder pads of the guardsmen red and probably stencial a hammer and sickle yellow. Don't be triggered.

What do you think? I already Painted 3 guardsmen's shoulder pads like that.

I'd keep it simple and reminiscent of Soviet imagery without going full-on USSR. My Red Army-themed Valhallans have red stars and a sickle painted here and there but I try not to go too far with it.

Okay that's the shoulder pads. What about the rest of the Guardsmen?

(P.S. when doing any theme to do with something potentially controversial in real life (Nazi insignia outside of historicals, etc. at least some people will be unhappy about it, it's going to happen. Expect minor triggering)

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Not be a little controversial or anything. But I just keep it on one side. (like a banner.... Not to be a Nazi like person btw) I feel like if I painted all of the guardsmen red. I lost the use of my loren forest and castellen green. And I was basing it off of the tactic's of the guardsmen are like (Commissars shoot if they see fear. Charge the enemy.) and so on
