So with the new Daemonic Incursion detachment, a lot of lists are fitting in a minimum unit of Furies as they as by far the cheapest Auxiliary choice.
Since the GW models are both hideous and expensive, what are some alternatives that aren't super huge?

I have seen tons of conversions that use lesser daemons with wings attached, and even more using Tyranid Gargoyles. While these all look fantastic, I want something a bit more diminutive, since these are essentially a throw-away unit and should look "lesser" than any lesser daemon
I also want to get some "non-traditional" ideas similar to using single Vampire Count Spirit Host models or something that floats without need of wings. Like floating torsos to represent the soul of the mortal that the Fury once was.

One idea I keep coming back to is to use Lizardmen saurus heads somehow since I have a few in my bitz-box. I am really trying not to spend more than $10 on these 5 minis

Gargoyle wings on blood letters could work.

I like Gargoyle wings on VC Crypt Ghouls but you'll struggle to get it for less than $10

I may do something like that, or bats from the Reaper line. The main 2 reason I am hesitant to use Garg wings is ease of storage and the fact that my Screamers are already made from Gargs

Yeah, I like the idea of some cybernetic monstrosities - fluff-wise, they'd be small daemonic engines (or the servants of the true engines).

But since flying and claws is their only unique visual attribute, you can pick just about anything the right size, give it claw hands and put it on a small flying base - fluff-wise, they can represent possessed/mutated from almost any race.

If you're dying to get rid of those Lizardman heads and can manage to twist a bit of greenstuff around some wire then you could easily and cheaply recreate something like these Malifaux Seishin. $10 is a pretty tight budget so if you already have the GS then these could be free or very cheap. The addition of a few extra skulls, spikes or claws could get them somewhere close.

Thanks guys, theses are all really cool.

I had another idea. Since I will be running the Infernal Tetrad and only 5 furies, what about doing a "familiar" unit by having 4 of the furies be little chaos familiars for each Daemon Prince?
1 Nurgling with tiny wings for Nurgle
1 Wood Elf forest sprite painted light purple for Slaanesh
1 High elf baby dragon on a skull painted red for Khorne
1 Vulture painted blue & pink for Tzeentch

I had all these in my bitz-box. The 5th Fury can be the "leader". I have a set Possesed wings that I can attach to a body with a Saurus head and some claws. I can name him "Rokaleb, the first Fury", he'd be the opposite of Belakor

Neet.

though personally would of rather seen something less obvious for then nurgle. its clearly a nurgling.

Would of been cool if it was like a fly or a bug of some sort.
