Hello! Here is a list I am thinking of running at a local tournament tomorrow. We have a guy with 5 flyrants who has been beating up on people, also some tau with ripetide wing/storm surge, and I am sure a few stompas. I am hoping to deal with a variety of these. Is this decent? Its ITC missions.

So yes it would seem that I could take an aspect host for the hawks and spiders but that is 4 sources so I can not. Bummer.

I could take the autarch on a bike with a fusion if I drop 1 scatter from the wraithknight. Is that better? Probably but thought he would be easier to hid with the generator.

I could also drop the pod marine tact but I liked the 2 ob sec, and option to not bring the cents on turn 1.

I would take a storm with scouts instead. Also netting me 25 points.

Got Dark Reapers? They're the answer to fliers (flyrants) with their Inescapable Accuracy.

I am a believer in the h2h wraith knight over the shooter. More opportunities to roll D-dice.

So, you could have the spiders and hawks (or reapers) in an Aspect Host. Did I miss something?

I was actually pretty happy with the list (even though I played ti without the aspect host which was annoying)

We had 28 players for the event. I won! In itc scoring its out of 11 each game (incase someone didn't know that) I got 11, 11, 9.

My first opponent was Imperial guard. It was hammer and anvil and 6 objectives. I went first. dropped the cents in, killed pask and another tank immediately with grav, ignores cover. The knight d'ed another tank and his army fell apart. Poor guard. He conceded on turn 3 as my flyers all came in and all he had was 1 vendetta. 11-1 victory (he sniped my warlord)

Game 2 was very TJ laherty (you can look him up in ITC points. He is one of the highest tyranid players listed.) I was unhappy I had to fight him haha

I went first which was a blessing. Dropped in and killed 2 flyrants (love that Omni scope) before he got off the ground. The corner of the board he was in had only forests so he only had a 3+ cover. The knight blasted one of the the tyrants and with a failed cover took 3 wounds. Scatter bikes finished him off. That was 3 of 5 flyrants dead before he had a turn. A lot of lucky stuff went my way for that victory. He played back hard but with it being KP he didn't have a chance to come back really. 11-0 victory

Game 3. Top table. Vs War convocation. Ugg. I win the die to go first, but he seizes. Drops in with grav and steals first blood. Ugg. He used the stealth and shrouded thing and I was in trouble. I moved my bikes etc to try and jump away from the scary units. My cents came in and killed his grav guys. I cast invis and hoped to live till turn 2 when I could get my reserves. He had a culuxes in a pod which he would drop in, remove invis, and kill me. It failed to come in until turn 4! My cents held the middle of the board and blasted away.

This game was objectives but he had more units as he was able to use stealth and shrouded ability 2 times with the convo. Turn 4 I took the hawks and jumped them back into reserves. My aurtarch left some bikes and hid. Turn 5 I drop the hawls with no scatter to take an objective. Turbo boost the autarch to contest. The game ends on turn 5!! I have 2 objectives, he has 1 and 1 is contested. 9-2 victory!

Did you change the Autarch to a jetbike rather than jump generator?

Yeah the solution against FMCs, especially Tyranids, is definitely more of the drop centurion variety rather than Crimson Death variety. In this list I would have dropped the flyers and picked up an aspect host, plus filled out the marines with a second drop pod and scout squad (so you can Turn 2 the Centurions if need's be), then some more Eldar units of your choice, even 1-2 flyers.

Brothererekose Yes you are right my list was legal but if I took the aspect host it would have been 4 detachments. I really missed the bs 5 however. It was disappointing. lol

As you can see ibushi I did have 2 pods! I forgot to list 1... It made all the difference. It was nice to have the option, even though it didn't matter, verses the mechanicus to have kept my cents alive had I gone first. If I went first his grav units would not have been on the board so it was going to be very tech to keep mine alive that extra turn. Luckily it didn't matter!
