Finished earlier this year, but still worthy of being shown off, I hope.

My technique for these is largely airbrush, but I think it works for a great result. I prime black, then base in GW Leadbelcher. After that, I apply Minitaire blue ghost tint from the bottom upwards, and then plasma fluid ghost tint from the top down. The trim is done in P3 Pig Iron. The bases are made out of broken up slate, with Apoxie Sculpt where needed to even things out, airbrushed in various browns, and then weathered with Secret Weapon Miniatures pigments, going for a sort of Mars-esque basing.

I love them!

Makes me wish I:

1) Had an airbrush
2) Knew how to use it

or at least:

3) lived near you!

I really like the modified FW AL color scheme too!

Alpharius: I looked at the official FW one, using the Tamiya colors, and thought about it for a bit. Then I stumbled on a Youtube review of the ghost tints, and as soon as the guy airbrushed the plasma fluid, I went "ya know, that might work really well...". I know a few people also use those metallic auto paints - candy coat? is what they're called?

The ghost tints work really well on vehicles, too. Here's a WIP Rhino:
