Hi all,

Looking to refine my 1,000 point list (before building it up to around 1850 in "phase two"). Feedback really appreciated from you veterans out there, any gaps in this list? Currently sits at 999 points.

Question before I even start, I have Hawks, Spiders, Crimson Hunter and Wave Serpent. That's four fast attacks in a CAD (I believe you're only allowed 3?) Does the dedicated wave serpent for the Fire Dragons count as a fast attack slot, or does it then just get lumped in with the slot the Dragons take up?

The Wave Serpent is classed as dedicated transport, meaning that it does not count as a separate unit. therefore, it should not go under your Fast Attack section but as more so as an upgrade for the Fire Dragons.

I made a list extremely similar to this a few days ago. You have everything that you need, countering mass troops/spam low armour vehicles via bikes, high armour/toughness units and vehicles with Dragons, Air support with the Crimson Hunter and possibly the Hawks all while having everything be fast and able to secure objectives.

The only alterations that I would make would be to take out the Dragons and the Serpent and replace them with a 2nd unit of Spiders and a Wraithknight. if you need to, mess around with points elsewhere like the exarch upgrade on the Crimson Hunter to fit it in., I think it could work well.

If that isnt possible, I would run with this list as it is still strong.

i think I know what you were trying to say here but your wording was midleading. Dedicated transports do count as a separate unit for all rules purposes. But I have a sneaking suspicion what you meant to say was that dedicated transports take on the battlefield role of whatever unit they were purchased for. So a wave serpent purchased for fire dragons counts as an elites choice (but does not take up an elites slot on your FOC). Just thought I'd clear that up in case op thought that you meant the unit and transport have to stay in coherence, and played the game as if they were a single unit.

Yes, my wording was poor and you are correct.

...that big sanction stamp of APPROVAL means it's OFFICIAL. No, I don't have to ask you for permission. D-cannons win games.

I was thinking the same thing. This list should Siam Hann.

Thank you for the clarification around CAD and slots on the FOC - I was hoping that was the case.

Yes, I know this isn't very "Iyanden wraith-themed" but I just liked the yellow colour scheme. There's nothing in the lore saying they wouldn't field an army like this, just that they're not as common (and are more precious) than other craftworld armies

Funnily enough, my previous list had a WK and second Spider unit in it, but I was advised against taking a WK to 1,000 point games in my local GW store since it can be a little tricky to accept from opponents. I can see that point of view to be honest, they're a bit crazy in circa. 1,000 point games.

Oh, yeah for local games don't use the Knight. I thought it was for a tournament.
