Why hello there,

So I have decided to build an 1850 point list of Cohort Cybernetica. My wife and I play a game or two against each other on Sunday afternoon to relax before the week of work ahead, as I rarely (a few times a year :( ) get time to get out to stores to play locally.

I have a force of about 3,000 points of Grey Knights, and generally we split the models down the middle and play a game against each other. We both like Grey Knights because of the low model count, so it's easier to keep track of the rules and what's going on in the game.

Which brought me to consider the Cohort Cybernetica formation. My wife and I are considering going to a local tournament for some fun later this year, and I thought it would be fun for her to take my Grey Knights, and i'll take the Cohort. Doesn't have to be a 'game changer', just something that most likely nobody else will have and will be a fun mix-up of the drop-pod and wraithknight spam I see whenever I leave my house to play

So, the list, any input welcome in terms of loadout for the models, but i'm already pretty set on running these models and not allying anything in. ROBOT LIFE !!

Cohort Cybernetica formation - 1850points

Tech Priest Dominus w/ Autocaduceus of the Arkhan Land (135pts)

Robot Fun Group #1

1x Datasmith w/ Mask of the Alpha Dominus (65pts)
1x Datasmith w/ Raiment of the Technomartyr (80pts).
4x Robots w/ Twin-linked heavy phosphor blasters & Heavy phosphor blaster (540pts)
2x Robots w/ Power fists and Heavy phosphor blasters; (250pts)

Group 1 = 935pts

Robot Fun Group #2

1x Datasmith (50pts)
5x Robots w/ Power fists and Incedine combustors; (600pts)
1x Robot w/ Twin-linked heavy phosphor blaster; Incedine combustor; (130pts)

Group 1 = 780pts

Total: 1850pts

Do you intend to win missions? A unit may contest only a single objective, and most missions require contesting more than one objective to win.

I'm also building a Cohort Cybernetica formation, and I think mobile Objective Secured units are a good ally to flank around to the objectives while the Cohort anchors the center.

I could ally in some bikes from a space marine chapter by dropping some robots for objectives.

But..............

I'll most often just be running kill point games and just planning to table people or have D weapons delete me by the end of turn 2 Hahaha.

It's definitely not the most mobile army that will be going around, haha, but it will definitely be a force to be reckoned with (I think).

Wow where are you that mostly does Kill Point missions? That'd skew the meta pretty hard. Anyone run all Imperial Knights?

'Straya Baby!!!!

People here like to battle it out until nothing is left standing on the table.

I find it VERY boring just chasing bikes and skimmers the entire game and scrimmaging for objectives. It's good in tournaments but ... it's not fun IMO.

40k, to me, is about 2 armies running at each other and last man standing is the victor! haha. And what better way to do it than with an army of robots!

Well your entire army is three kill points that aren't scored until they're all killed, so I think you've cracked that format.

So for the formation the tech priest MUST be with the formation. The second group has no tech priest so unless you are running unbound you need to get one in there.

Also, for VP's each Cohort formation counts as 3 as per the codex.

If you are playing straight VP's sure have at it, regular missions with objectives you will get smashed.

you may have read the list wrong. It's one 1850 point formation. So as I said three Kill Points and per the codex they're not scored until all its models are gone.

Yep. I just split them into 'Group 1' and 'Group 2' because it's easier to read weapon load-outs. 6 have flamers, 6 have phos blasters.

I had a trial-run with this list just proxying models and it's insanely powerful. Obviously terrible with objectives, but holy hell it deletes units better than my centurion star.
