I hate that these are only across the ocean...

All the rules are in the download. You could run your own event using the rules packet.

Yes thats true except there is a big difference between playing at warhammer world on their tables with a large number of people or playing in the local store with the subpar tables and three or four people lol.

Looks quite fun with all your models coming back as zombies!

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Not planning to go to this one. My first tournament is going to be the Bristol Smash in June (Matt, you going to that? Not too far away).

To be honest, Warhammer World seem to hold so many almost identical events, they seem to lose a bit of their prestige. I would love a real GT that could be the focal point of the year. Instead these events, fun as they look, don't seem as memorable - especially with the cost of them. Just me thinking along these lines? I want to go to one eventually - but how do I decide which one when they are all so similar?

Gave a copy to my local GW manager. He's interested in running one in the store. I think it sounds fun

Sounds like SCGT is what you were looking for. Perhaps we'll meet at next year's event as I'll be doing all I can to attend (including the travel from up North...).

Do let me know if you are planning to go. If I can attend it'd be great to meet a few folk from here.

An out-and-out tournament is not really my thing for AoS

It might be my first - was hoping to go to the ruins event at WW in June but work's thrown a spanner in to that one.

Also, need to be hot on these - chain hotels in Nottingham obviously follow the GW events page. Double prices when events are on...

Will it be your first time in the UK?

No worries! Let's try and organise our game soon I've almost *almost* moved into my new house. I'll send a PM and see if we can get something organized. Maybe in the Summer if you're up for it? :-)

Looks interesting. I'll check for organizing a local event here with similar rules.
