I am looking for advice on a Nurgle flavored Army and I mean the real Nurgles not every CSP that runs around with the Mark of Nurgle like a football bandwagon fan!!! Ok that rant out of the way. I am looking for a Nurgle Daemon flavored army build.
I have the following so far 20 plaguebearers, 2 heralds of Nurgle, 3 plague drones, 3 Nurglings. I also have purchased a Heldrake and two Soulgrinders. I'd like 3 more plague drones, 3 more nurglings, and a couple of Great Unclean One as well as a million more Plague bearers for army flexiability. While I am cobbling and painting these beauties together, I am looking for mix and match to go into my army. Ill add a list of pieces im targetting for consideration. Can you please offer suggestions for additional armies models to purchase and army builds, I would be in your debt. If you want to talk just genericsof this type of army build and unit compatability etc, that would be great as well. I know I havent given you much help in a specific army build. It would likely give me more to work with if i play smaller games. If there is anything that Ive targetted for future purchases seem excessive or not worth the purchase, please let me know.
Some items I am targetting are ..
Epidemius- Is he even worth it without a mono-Nurgle Army??
an extra Heldrake
A daemon prince or two (am confused if I should get a generic Daemon Prince or the Nurgle Daemon Pring or Be'lakor, Daemon Prince)
2-3 Nurgle Beasts
Is including at least one unit of Chaos marines a good idea and what kind?? and a vehicle for them?? Rhino??
I have been thinking about the ways in which I could make a good nurgle daemons-
csm army.
The best idea I have so far is one that's going to take a lot of time and effort, but would definitely be worth it by the end.
You run Nurgle Daemons allied with Typhus and his zombie hordes.
The idea here being that you drown the enemy with zombies, Plaguebearers, and Nurglings if they suit you, and deep strike the daemons in where they're needed as Typhus and his zombies hold your side of the table. You could honestly do a lot with that green tide, though. Just flow it to wherever you need it, like irrigation. The zombies come from the front, the plaguebearers come from behind. Of course this is failing to include any additions to the build like for example a Great Unclean One or Nurgle Obliterators or what have you.
I'd recommend using the Kings of War Zombies from Mantic.
