Hey mates quick question for you. Currently working on a commissioned job for someone using the Sisters of Battle Immolator kit to use as his Rhinos or Razorbacks, and it has gotten me thinking. Are the Sisters done for good? Everything seems to be gone off their FW page, all that GW has left is complete garbage at the store, and I have been hearing Sisters getting a new Codex and models for a long time now. Is it safe to say at this point that the Sisters of Battle are no longer considered an Army and are being discontinued? I find it sad in a way because honestly I would love to go an army of them as they are in-between IG and Space Marines which is something I find very appealing, and as it stands, their Codex is not that bad and Sisters can still field a very competitive army in most games and tournaments. Only thing I think they would really need is some point tweaks, their own unique flyer or access to more of the FW Variants, and maybe an armored CC unit as all they have really dedicated to CC is the Sisters Repentia and Penitent Engines.

Well they are definitely still considered an army and have not been discontinued, things go out of stock and come back in pretty regularly now, prob due to backstock finally running out, the immolator, unfortunately, appears to have had the mold broken at some point and doesn't exist anymore,

As for the future, nothing specific has been said about Sisters either way, it's unlikely they'd do anything more than quietly move them into 'last chance to buy' and then shuffle them off anyway.

Most recent rumors have heard new sisters before christmas but it is to be taken with a HUGE grain of salt.

If we do see new sisters it will be at the end of a quarter to end GWs quarterly up as, even if the line sells poorly overall, the first few weeks are guaranteed to be just insane. I know that I would drop 500-1000 dollars without question and I barely get paid for what I do.

They're limping along, losing bits and pieces of the range as the months go by. The range is routinely going out of stock, which means they're only making small production runs and keeping stock levels low. I would not be surprised to see them in the Last chance to Buy section one of these days. Or maybe they'll make a boxed game like Deathwatch: Overkill and we'll see a squad of monopose sculpts that replaces the basic Sisters squad while they keep just the special/heavy weapons in metal. It's anyone's guess, really.

Seeing anything new for them would pretty much explode everybodyplaying 40k's mind.

But tbh, I'm pretty sure they gun die. I do hope i'm wrong. Really sweet looking army they are.

Checked the GW site earlier this week, and everything but the basic sisters squad was back in stock. The Immolator is gone now, but the Exorcist uses the Immolator sprue and its still available. Perhaps GW's is telling SoB players that all Immolators should have the cool armor plates from the Exorcist kit? As far as new model rumors go, I personally won't believe anything until I've gone to the store, seen the models, recovered and been allowed to leave the hospital and then traveled back to the store and seen them again.

The Codex is digital only, so there's little reason to remove a file that is really just a few clicks on your website now that the work is done. My guess is that it will be available for a good long while unless GW brings 40k into an AoS remake. The models can be found on Ebay usually for unexplainable prices. Luckily, I have several hundred more than I need.

The Codex is generally much better than most people think it is, and though there are a few semi-stinker units. Those units could be greatly improved simply by re-releasing the Sisters APOC formations. Not a perfect fix for the long suffering PenEngines, Repentia and Celestians. But certainly better than they are now.

I've tried a lot of Celestian fixes, and I'm really enjoying the latest version where Celestians get a 5++ improvement and the ability to use all of the different units Acts of Faith, but only once for each Act per game.

A ton of armies and a terrain habit...

I guess they will make a revival.
Have a look at the Harlies. Nobody had expected that they release a whole army. This is what we were dreaming of back in the old days of Eldar Online, the best board for Eldar players about 10 years ago.
