So we normally play 3v3 or 4v4 games with 750pts per player at my local GW so I figured I should probably put something together for regular matches. This is what I'm thinking but I was hoping for some feedback. The WK will probably get complaints from 1, maybe 2 people but most of those I play with (including those who will complain) tend to play quite viciously so I feel it justified. If it really becomes a problem I can swap it out for something else, maybe a pair of fire prisms and something else but I haven't put much thought into it right now. So, here's the list:

CAD:

HQ:
- Farseer Skyrunner - Singing Spear, The Phoenix Gem - 145

Troops:
- Windriders (4) - 4x Shuriken Cannons - 108
- WIndriders (3) - 3x Scatter Lasers - 81
- Windriders (3) - 3x Scatter Lasers - 81

Lord of War:
- Wraithknight - Ghost Glaive and Scatter Shield, 2x Starcannon - 335

--750

Is the WK too much at 750? I don't just mean for my opponents but is it too expensive for this points level? Is there anything else I should change? Just to clarify, the farseer will be joining the shuriken biker units to guide them and to provide heroic morale as they can be dropped to 25%.

At least in my meta we try to avoid LoW if we are playing less than 1500... so yeah it's too much.

Pretty solid list, 100% WAAC TFG, but solid.

So I'll probably run the wk at least once to get the reaction of the people I play with, but any ideas on what I could do instead to be a bit nicer?

1)Don't use knights in under 1,500 games
2)Dont spam scatterlaser bikes, preferably dont spam bikes at all
3)Dont spam spiders

Boom. 99% of eldar TFG cheese gone.

Looks solid, WK is auto-include these days. Try to match your power level to your local meta though, unless you are in a tournament then anything goes

If you are facing lists that include Imperial Knights or Tau Riptide Wing etc then this list would give you an answer to that.

Feedback on the wk is much appreciated. What would you suggest replacing it with?

Well honestly if i had to replace the wraithknight for some reason i would just take more scatterbikes or warpspiders, maybe Hornets or a Lynx or 2.
But take whatever models you enjoy playing really.

X078 seems to be a shining example of tfg/waac. Unless it's a hardcore tournament, you shouldn't abuse broken units. I would suggest replacing the knight with various aspect hosts, its very strong as well, but not faceroll op like bikes or knights. The formation if you take 3 squads of aspects gives you +1bs or ws, so that makes them generally hitting on 2-3! Another good thing to replace it would be also some of the cool HQ's the eldar get.

Like cosmicsoybean suggested you could replace it with:

Eldar Formation Aspect Host [+1 BS]
Warp Spiders [4x warp spiders + 1 Exarch]
Warp Spiders [4x warp spiders + 1 Exarch]
Warp Spiders [4x warp spiders + 1 Exarch]

All around a very good formation, models are still resin though. If you replace the WK you get some spare points left.

Don't put words in my mouth, I specifically said anything except knights, bikes or warp spiders.

You could bring a unit of warpsiders but not three. Considering two/one dire avenger units plus 0/1 swooping hawks (which can be fun to play)

And seriously, someone kick X0-gakker out, he's about everything wrong with the seventh edition.

Hey OP here's a complete list suggestion based on your first example without the Wraithknight. But feel free to add the WK instead of the Aspect Host Formation if you face vicious opponents

I do like the idea of warp spiders. The fact that its infantry, rather than a gargantuan, will probably make it easier to deal with for most of the people I play with. How does this look?

CAD:

HQ:
- Farseer Skyrunner - Singing Spear - 120

Troops:
- Windriders (4) - 4x Shuriken Cannons - 108
- WIndriders (3) - 3x Scatter Lasers - 81
- Windriders (3) - 3x Scatter Lasers - 81

Aspect Host (+1 BS):
- Warp Spiders (5) - Exarch; Spinneret Rifle - 120
- Warp Spiders (5) - Exarch; Spinneret Rifle - 120
- Warp Spiders (5) - Exarch; Spinneret Rifle - 120

--750

Also, I'm trying to avoid taking any more than 3 unit of bikes to make the army a bit easier to handle.

Let me ask you something; what if the enemy brings in a leman russ? Right now you lack entirely anti-armor. I suggest you drop one-two units of warp spiders and get either a wave serpent or a falcon so you can target high armor.

Falcons are very unreliable, wave-serpents do not count as anti-vehicle. the only weapon it can use against a Lemon Rss is the brightlance which is max one hull point per turn unless one gets lucky and explodes it on a 6 after penetrating.

Spiders however are so fast and can deep-strike in the rear armour of the russ tanks. their hitting on 2+ with the extra BS and strength 6 on rear armour 11 I believe is going to be wrecking them easily. (they can reliably do so due to their run moves should they scatter. To say the army has no anti-armour is just wrong.

If your goal is to be a complete WAAC TFG, I recommend switching out the shuriken cannon bikes for scatter lasers.

If your goal is to have friends, I recommend getting rid of the wraithknight, the scatter lasers and the farseer.

Make that 2000 and we're good.

Bring any HQ that isn't a psyker (or a monstrous creature or greater, unless 1500 points or more)
Bring any troops you want that aren't on a bike.
Support those troops with any aspect warriors that you want that aren't warpspiders.
No rerollable saves.

The negative sentiment on Eldar neither assists the culture of the game nor the OPs' request.

Snykyninja, I would recommend taking one of the lists suggested earlier in the thread if you feel the opponents lists at these kind of events are truly competitive (or vicious, if you prefer). I agree that a Wraithknight is typically out of place sub-1500, however if you're contending with other internet hot lists then you are completely justified in doing so.

That being the case I'd say give this a try. If you find yourself being criticized (by your co-players, not this thread) then bring the power level down for funs' sake.

Lastly, I would personally head the Warp Spider or Hornet route myself as I would figure an opponent would wise up and Grav-drop your Wraithknight into nothingness, but perhaps that's just my meta. Cheers and good luck!

I play with grey knights, nids and guard with inquisition allies so I won't be dropping the farseer.

As for everything else people have said, I greatly appreciate the feedback and suggestions. I have multiple lists I run atm as I don't really have the models for this one yet. Depending on who's playing I will swap lists on a game by game basis. Hopefully that will maintain some sort of balance in our games.
