Throwing up some pics of a couple robo-bots I kitbashed from bits.
This one's based around a Dark Eldar Talos Pain Engine torso, which has a convenient pelvis and hip section for legs despite being a floaty tentacle monster. I used third party ball socket connectors and some green stuff but the parts fit together pretty great on their own. The primary arms are Kastelan legs with guns on the end, the legs are similarly legs, and the secondary arms are from the Kataphron kit. The top gun is from an ork kit. As an aside, Kastelan Robot legs are excellent for any conversion involving mechanical stuff. They're fully poseable once you cut out some small tabs, and bits sites will sell both sets from the kit together.
Next one took a little more work. It's the torso of the new
BaC Contemptor, with the front armor section taken off to give it a sleeker less armored look. The helmet and weapon are from the Talos kit, arms/legs are the dependable Kastelan bits, and the megaman arm is a Contemptor power fist with a Knight heavy stubber shield and some hoses. There's a Bastion spotlight on top to plug up a big hole.
Adding it all up the kits and bits were probably more than just buying another box of vanilla Kastelans, but I liked the way these guys came out. A different posture of torso made almost completely different looking models. Here's a shot of them with their handlers in a Robot Maniple formation. The original Kastelans are hiding in the back, ashamed of how chrome they are.
