Ok quick question guys,
I want to buy this also BUT....can this box set be turned into a death company? Does it have the parts needed? I know it comes with 10 marines, a commander and a furioso but I wanted this to become a death company without buying any extra stuff.

It does not come with DC things. You can build the Furioso as a DC Dread, but that's about it. I mean, you can always paint the tactical marines as DC, but they won't have any of the good DC bits, plus you'd be missing out on the vast majority of their options (not nearly enough chainswords or pistols, jump packs, etc)

Excellent thank you.
What about if I buy the blood angels upgrade pack. Does it then allow me to do this with death company?? Or still it won't have parts?
Also if I buy a death.conpany pack will I have enough extra leftovers to fill up the marines in the battle force? Thanks again

If you're looking to turn the entire force into a DC one I'd recommend buying a pack of DC in addition. The amount of leftover DC/BA specific bits in the DC kit is insane, and I bet you'd have no issue changing the rest of the battleforce into DC specific marines with it.

The upgrade doesn't have any DC bits in it. The DC kit is the only one that really lets you build DC, although there will be a bunch of left over bits to spruce your other marines up. Honestly, though, you'll probably only have enough to make another 5 non jump pack guys, and even then you might have to equip them differently than you really want to because, again, lack of chainswords and bolt pistols.

Death company are just angry blood angels in black armour with red crosses representing the wounds suffered by Sanguinius.
You can make Death Company out of bolter marines if you are happy to have your death company armed with bolters. They won't look as cool as the 'proper' models though!
How would you like to have your death company equipped, and then we can talk about what you might need to buy to turn your battle force marines into worthy death company stand ins.

That's my problem - I know death company has a special look outside just the black and red paint work. I was hoping to use those special bits to give them their official look not necessarily the jump packs but those nice additions which make them
Stand out.
So I'm thinking now maybe spend on 2x discounted DC sets plus a furioso separately. Plus is it possible to have a death company venerable dread???

Blood Angels don't have Venerable Dreads per se... the Furioso fills that role in the codex which means there is no way to make a DC Dread venerable

Thanks for that...
Ok well I've just ordered a renegade set of imperial knights which were as my story goes found damaged in battle and rebuilt by the blood angels as one of their own. So 2x Knights will be standing tall with my army soon. Thanks for feedback

You can give DC dreads "Legacies of Glory", One of which grants the vehicle the Venerable rule, but counts as an Ally of Convenience in the forceuts taken and Desperate Allies to any Allies

Does this mean I can buy a ven dread or not and make it into a DC model?
Ok so I went and picked up my renegade set from dark sphere today for a nice £90 (£30) cheaper than retail. I didn't realize the box was so damn huge. Well after watching the imperial Knights in the dawn of war 3 trailer it finalized my idea of having to have one in my BA collection. I'm sure I will pee off many fan Boyz in here but since I'm not a player I think my sticky fluff can stick to my army.
In the next decade I will hopefully show you all how it looks painted in BA colors. Since I'm such a slow painter and that I have about 6000 points waiting to be painted too my estimate of it being finished should be accurate.
