I prefer rebased heroclix for superhero stand-ins as the paint is better.
Still, there's a nice heft to the Nano Metalfigs. Also the size is a bit closer to Crisis Protocol and as you suggest, they scale up with common 1/43 die cast cars very well.
I still have a big batch of the Harry Potter Nanos for a project that never materialized. If anyone is interested, let me know.
Here's a scale comparison if anyone is interested.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!
Halloween junk is in the stores! Skeletons, skulls, graves, haunted mansions, all that stuff for terrain and whatever!
Here's some of what I found.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCV7JJFY/
$16 graveyard. The chapel is a bit small for 28mm (crypt maybe?) but the tombstones are a great size, big for a realistic cemetery but a good size for cover.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZQQHQCW/
More tombstones for $8
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008B9J5NK/
Some fences for your spooky graveyard.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CB6JXZ2G/
Set of 6 coffins, at 2" they're a bit big but I can see uses.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B7ZQHV8D/
And finally 3 8" haunted mansions. At $50 they're not "cheap" but less than a Warhammer house of comperible size.
What have you found?

So a while ago I was hunting for something to make an Imperial Guard landing ship out of (still have 2 that need painting) well I just saw this the "Tony Trihull Battleship Carry Case" 21" of high tech looking goodness. And the back opens into a storage area.

Odd question, but since you mentioned Heroclix: would you happen to have the Rune figure from 2019? Calling me an Ultraverse enthusiast would be like calling the Grand Canyon a hole: it just doesn't do it justice.
I'm quoting this for three reasons: to have links to forward my brother, to plot out a nice Sylvania scenery set, and to maybe hope against hope that they may have something that looks like Anubis in roughly the same size as Ushabti...

Yeah, those spookies could make a pretty nice Garden of Morr without a ton of work.

Sorry, no. I've got a smattering of older ones and a ton of civilian types unbased for railroading, but I never played the game and don't know a ton about comics.
Have you tried troll and toad?

What's Troll and Toad?
I can nab it for roughly $10 shipped on ebay, but I'm being quasi-lazy.

My take on one of the wonderful robots from the Buzz Lightyear range. I wasn't keen on the right arm so I cut it away and bent the plastic outwards to simulate an internal explosion, and added some cables made from greenstuff. I also added a fair amount of damage to the hull. This was my first time adapting a toy and I learned a lot. An enjoyable process and very affordable - I found the robot for £6. Since then I've picked up many more odds and ends. I'm currently cutting up imitation nerf guns to make spaceship wreckage. This thread has been very inspirational over the years and has directly re-ignited a long dormant interest in toy shops. In other words, I blame you.

From a movie that really just kind of exists, its toys are fantastic when converted to wargaming it seems.

Pixar films like Toys and Cars were not only huge hits but made even more money from licensing, I think Disney/Pixar was assuming the same would hold true for Lightyear.
After this large and extensive toy line went straight to the bargain bin I doubt we'll see the like again for a long, long time. It's a shame. Not such a shame it stopped from buying INSANE amounts of Lightyear stuff on clearance, but still a shame.
On the positive side here's some arts and crafts goodies, various bits of fantasy scatter terrain for ~$10

Good Stuff.
I can verify that the Grey stone stairs are nicely sized for 28mm.
The little bridge that I got (Grey and orange) was nicely sized for 10mm, possibly could work as big as 15mm.

My long-overdue Daiso wrap up.
To review Daiso is a chain of 100 yen (~$1) shops across Japan which sometimes have a line of robot display bases and other miniatures items in their home decor (not toy) section. I also found the mecha line in a chain of hobby shops called Volks. And yes, everything here was 100 yen.
They also have shops in the US and Hong Kong, maybe more that I just don't know off the top of my head.
Not seen any of this in their US stores or online but who knows.
First off some nice and easy pipes, sold in sets of 3. 2 are attached, the 3rd can be removed (good for painting!). Aobut 2" tall, 3 1/2" long. Nice scatter terrain for any industrial table.
Then some tin shipping containers and a railroad flatbed for them. So 300 yen. The tins open so you can put, I dunno, an objective marker in there.
About 10"x3" tall.
I wasn't too impressed with these girder/gantry sets, but they're not terrible either. And you get 3 girders plus clips for 100 yen, so again, no great loss.
But the real winners are these connectable display bases, roughly 7"x4"x4" and they assemble and connect without glue. The back are not detailed but you can always put two of them back to back.
They stack and connect for more elaborate displays, and the front framework is optional. You could put a whole action figure collection on these for under $10. I got like ten of them.
The cranes on these are also 100 yen, and come with metal chains made of real metal hot from the forge.
The engineering on these (except for the girders) is superb, everything goes together with no glue and comes apart for storage. Great, great buys, I cannot recommend enough.
I mean if you happen to be in Japan.
