Recently started into my Crons and have 15 immo/DMs to assemble as either or.
What do you feel is a better build (technically I dont mind proxying one as the other but might as well try and get it right).
I face multiple factions from marines to Nids and have a mixed force (warriors/barges/monos/wraiths/scythes).

If immortals which gun build is better for them?
If DMs what is the best way to use them - they seem to just be rapid fire snipers? (I dont really rate snipers in 7th much).
thanks!

Depends. Do you already have the 5 Immortals minimum to run a Decurion?

I can assemble 5/10/15 immos or 5/10/15 DMs or a combo.

I love deathmarks.... there etherial interception is very good against anything that drops in on you allows them to intercept and wounds them on 2's. All before they do more than get out of there pods/spores/warp funk (from teleporting) you can also put the D lord with them boosting them even more. I find they work for thinning shock/drop troops and generally being a pain to the opposition.

Thanks. If I do up a few immortals which gun is the better choice. Im siding with the gauss?

After the tesla nerf, gauss is almost always the best choice. Gauss gives you the versatility of being able to do something against MC/vehicles while also practically guaranteeing more shots than tesla when in rapid fire range. Now that all Necrons get relentless as well via the Decurion, you can assault afterwards too and more often than not you will get a decent amount of immortals within 12" of an enemy unit, so tesla really doesn't cut it anymore. AP4 helps a lot as well against the various non MEQ units in the game like Scouts, Ork boyz, Fire Warriors, Guardsmen...etc.

Tesla is still the preferred choice IMO because of the way I use Immortals. They are always my backfield objective holders. Which means that if they do get in range of something to shoot, it's going to be further than 12" away which means Tesla will do better.

So I'd say build 5 Immortals and 10 Deathmarks. That way you have the 5 required Immortals for a Decurion and you have a nice chunk of Deathmarks to play around with.

on the forum. Obviously

Yeah, tesla is kind of useless now. Before it was quasi-anti air, but now its a bit inferior due to the lack of AP.

The extra hits don't proc on snap shots. Before tesla was decent AA, but after that change there isn't really any point to take tesla if you had the option.
