hey there!

Since all charges are declared at the same time, can the player beeing charged choose at which unit he wants to fire overwatch if the same unit gets charged by multiple units?

Example:

A declares a charge with Squads 1, 2 and 3 against Bs unit of Spacedudes.
Can B decided to fire overwatch at squad 2 or only at the unit that first charged the Spacedudes?

Far as I'm aware, once a unit has made it in to combat, the defender can't fire overwatch. Therefore his best option is to fire OW at the first unit to attempt a charge, as if they make it, he can't OW any subsequent assaulters anyway.

The only way he'd be able to nominate which unit he was firing OW at , would be if charge distances / resolutions were rolled for multiple units at the same time (using diff coloured dice to differentiate each unit). The defender would then be able to nominate which unit he fired at. If however they were resolved one at a time, to my mind, he wouldn't be able to fire OW if the first unit made it to CC.

Yes, a unit being charged by multiple units can choose which of the charging units to fire at. Just remember that if the first unit makes it into combat and you didn't fire overwatch at them then you cant fire overwatch at anyone.

Where is it that all charges are declared simultaneously?

Right here, at the moment

6th ed rulebook, AFAIK
this seems to be another rule that changed, that no one was aware about
page 44 of the BRB states that once a unit is locked in combat, it can't overwatch
Page 54 is instructions for charging 1 unit into multiple units
there's nothing for resolving charging multiple units into one squad, besides the aforementioned ruling on pg 44

You can still choose not to Overwatch the first unit that declares a Charge, but run the risk that it will be able to Engage you, and prevent any further Overwatch.

Are you a Wolf, a Sheep, or a Hound?

It wasn't a rule in 6th ed, either.
