But hey its nice. Other than the most pressing question being answered, why are they both one codex instead of 2?

Yes. Because it is a question that goes to two diferent codexes. So they awnser it for both codexes. So both codexes get the awnser. So people can pick the FAQ for the codex they use the most and see the awnser, And not risk missing it because they forgot to check the second codexes FAQ

Well, it's good to know the way I've been interpreting my opinion of the sprit of the rules has aligned with GW. My cult mech might have some new fun now, bouncing shots back at Weaker vehicles.

While yeah, $66 is more than $33--you don't need both books to run either army.
This isn't like someone wanting to run Raven Guard or any of the Chapter specific stuff where you need to pay $58 for C: SM and then you have to get the Raven Guard/whatever Chapter specific formations digitally or in Angels of Death/Kauyon.

You don't need both if you're doing a solo cult mech like me, or however skitarri work with no HQ choice (guess as that formation or as an allied). but We are supposed to get a combined,updatee single book?
Maybe after Chaos Spa--bwahaha!... Sorry, almost got that out with a straight face.

Nope, I know the last codex I got was $50 and that's when I stopped. I got the AM rules from White Dwarf and felt no inclination to buy the hard covers.

If you got all the rules for AM stuff from WD, you probably spent almost as much as the book.
