40k loremasters, I reach out to you. Does any of the media for this game mention the star, Aldebaran, or any kind of bases/worlds around it? I am working on a theme for an army and would like to base them there.

A quick google search for aldebaran 40k suggests there is a paint made by scale 75 called aldebaran red so that suggests somewhere in something there is a Aldebaran.....

It does not ring a bell to me. A quick search on lexicanum and the warhammer wiki proved fruitless.

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.

Google search for the name came up with the actual star, and as TheWanderer said, searching for it specifically in relation to 40K only brings up topics on the paint.

So with that in mind, you'd have to come up with some fan fiction fluff about it if you wanted to do something with the star (or planets around it) in the 40K universe.

I guess the question that would help is why use Aldebaran?

Because it sounds kind of cool?

40k as a general rule doesn't mention the current names for constellations or stars.

AFAIK its a peaceful planet with no weapons.

Pretty sure it's now classified as an asteroid field by the Astro-Cartographer's Guild.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

Was, past tense. Now it's just ... chunks.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

If you're making a Star Wars reference, that's Alderaan and not Aldebaran.
