Renegade Knight Detachment
1 Renegade Knight with 2 Avenger Gatling Cannons

Daemons CAD
HQ-
Lord of Change- mstry lvl 3, 2x greater rewards, 1 lesser reward, Paradox
2x heralds of Tzeentch - both same. 3x mstry level, disc of tzeentch

TROOPS- 2x 13 pink horrors

FAST ATTACK- 2x 5 screamers of Tzeentch

HEAVY SUPPORT- daemon Prince of Tzeentch- wings, mstry lvl 3, impossible robes, 2x greater rewards, 1 lesser reward.

1849 pts.

16 warp charges. Gonna be rolling on malefic looking for cursed earth to buff invuln save (especially looking to buff the DP for a 2++ re rollable) also rolling on Tzeentch looking for strength D witchfire.Heralds each run with a pack of screamers. Rolling for DP powers last. If already have good amount of cursed earth and shooty psychics then will roll on Biomancy hoping for iron arm.
Will be summoning as needed for more units or warp charges.
Knight is there for Dakka.

Grimoire of true names could be a liability without Fateweaver and want the Lord of Change for Paradox and guaranteeing a WC 3 power to go off each turn.

I feel a daemon knight will have more synergy. I'm not sure about screamers without grimoire support. Probably ok.

Weirdly I would want the Prince as the warlord..

I agree the daemon Knight could probably work better.... Cursed earth could help it- but I don't have a grimoire... And I really want to sport the dual avenger Gatling..

Thinking of taking 2 mastery levels off of one of Heralds to give him endless grimoire. (Guaranteeing all Tzeentch powers)with left over points I would add a horror and swap heavy stubber for melta gun.

I lose 2 WC then though. Now , I could summon more Horrors or heralds to get those WC back. With Paradox on the LOC I am guaranteed to successfully harness a WC 3 power every turn. It also guarantees I get the Strength D witchfire power.
Or- do I start with 16 WC and hope to roll for it... I hypothetically could have 12 rolls on Tzeentch's powers (2 each Psyker)
Right now I am leaning towards keeping the list the way it is...
Best would be if the LOC rolls Prismatic Gaze,cursed earth, and then swap the last roll for summoning!

I'll be sure to update this thread when I have a game or 2 under my belt with it. Also- I plan on entering a tourney with it and will let you know how that plays out.



Another idea I had was shaving off 35 points to get the anti-air gun on the Knight... Would help protect my FMC's from other aircraft.
I just don't know if it would be worth it though... Not a lot of flyers in competetive meta to justify I'm thinking. If I did that I would drop 2 mastery levels from 1 herald and a horror from each unit. Give the level 1 herald endless grimoire (thus guaranteeing I have at least 1 prismatic gaze) and giving the Knight anti air gun and Melta gun.
I'm kinda thinking list is better the way it is and any fliers will be dealt with through vector strikes and psychic attacks from my FMC's. Any units with skyfire on the ground will have to deal with a lot of shots from those 2 Avenger Gatlings.
Any thoughts anyone?

Have you thought of putting the paradox onto a herald, and swapping the LoC for fatey? While he isn't statwise as strong as a regular LoC, ML4 combined with all the powers he knows allows him to truly dominate the psyker phase... knowing 13 total powers... and his warlord trait helps rid you of the bad warpstorm table results, and allow you to reroll your grimour roll
