Bounding Ultramarine Assault Trooper

So in a Gladius strikeforce, I'm I allowed to switch out the normal battle demi-company with a Stormlance battle demi-company?

Simple answer is no.
You can only use the formations in the codex space marines.

No. The Stormlance is not listed as a Core for a Gladius.

You could play it outside of a Gladius, so either with one of the Detachments that allow it as a Core choice or simply on it's own.

Not as Good as a Minion
|
Isn't the Stormlance the Core of another Strike Force?
Most of the Gladius Auxiliaries that are not part of that Strike Force can still be used, but would not fulfill the minimum needed that Strike Forces require, nor receive that Strike Force's benefits.

Are you a Wolf, a Sheep, or a Hound?

The White Scars detachment (Scarblade?) uses the Storm Lance as its core.

Yeah, that was exactly what I meant with "other detachments".
To be precise:
Scarblade Strike Force (White Scars)
Fist of Medusa Strike Force (Iron Hands)
Flameblade Strike Force (Salamanders)
Hint: Both the Fist of Medusa and the Flameblade also allow you to bring a Skyhammer Annihilation Force as an Auxiliary Choice. And the Fist of Medusa also gives all vehicles PotMS AND +1 to Feel No Pain rolls as long as any IC is nearby. The additional 2nd warlord trait from either the Strategic or Tactical table really isn't worth mentioning, by comparison.

nekooni, AFAIK the Flameblade Strikeforce doesn't have the Skyhammer available.
Would be nice if it did.

Its the Fist of Medusa and the Sternhammer that have the Skyhammer Annihilation Force as Auxiliary choices
