Note that independent characters cannot normally join Kastelan robots as they're Monstrous "Creatures". If you have four robots, use either the Cohort Cybernetica or Elimination Maniple formations. Then build the rest of your army around that expensive core.

Yeah, I've been using the Cohort Cybernetica in the past but I wanted to free up the Dominus to do two things:

(1) Give the grav guns cognis
(2) Provide a 2+ armor save to protect the grav destroyers, which are actually really squishy

I think, if limited to 3 detachments, I would simply drop the Librarius Conclave and the Dominus Maniple. I would take a Skitarii Maniple instead with 2 Vanguard units and 2 Onagers with Icarus Arrays. Or something around that point cost.

Does the Space Wolf formation complement this fairly well?

It's also important to note that if anything joins the SW formation, they are no longer able to run and charge on the same turn due to the new FAQ released by GW (the draft at least).

I'm not the author of the program; he doesn't accept help. But I'm one of the many catalog file editors. I created both AdMech catalog files but I haven't maintained them much since then.

Also here's a crazy idea to achieve the goals you mention: Elimination Maniple has two Destroyer units. Ally your Librarius Conclave and give them artificer armor and conversion fields or maybe Terminator armor. Then two of them can tank for those destroyers, or even three if you field a third destroyer unit (not really recommended.) Then they can also use Divination which is a really killer discipline for AdMech. (reroll BS3 misses? Ignores Cover grav cannons? Yes!)

That leaves a few hundred points for some fast units to capture objectives and assault units you can't shoot. Dragoons or Space Wolves are both great for that. Maybe your third Librarian can bike with them.
