I have been pondering ideas for coping with the Trip Jumpmaster Plan

Do people think the Sensor Jammer is a worthwhile answer, as most of the time they won't have a focus token and can't re-roll it, but they can use the G-Chimps to change it back to a hit

Not sure if that would be enough to take the edge off an Alpha-strike and its a fairly hefty upgrade at 4pts

Have at it !

I doubt it would help much, simply because of guidance chips. Overall it's an expensive upgrade in general, and you would have to take multiple, or they could just shoot at whatever doesn't have it.

I love the idea of Sensor Jammer, but it is overcoasted for what it does. If you fill your list with things that prevent the modification of red dice or routinely steals focus tokens then it may make its points back.

It actually helps considerably, since if they're chipping the hit you jammed away it means they aren't chipping another eye/blank. That makes a huge difference in expected hits, though on a low-agility ship like a shuttle (the popular choice for sensor jammer) its usefulness is limited by the fact that they're hitting and killing you anyway.

Overall the major question is what ship you're taking it on, and what other upgrades that ship wants to take. Sensor jammer is really good, but it's an expensive upgrade in a slot that has other good options. Without telling us what the rest of your list is it's hard to say more than that.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

It was part of a Kanan Ghost / Biggs list idea, and although the Ghost has 0 agility the thinking was just to meddle enough with the Torp/Missle damage to get to the mid game.

First draft of the list is as follows

• Airen Cracken, XX-23 S-thread Tracers, Squad Leader (28)
• Biggs Darklighter, R2-F2, Integrated Astromech
• Kanan Jarrus, Sensor Jammer, Autoblaster Turret, Jan Ors, Recon Specialist,Tactical Jammer

The R2-F2 is a bit of an experiment, I suspect it isn't really that strong as its investing in the ever hateful green dice, but against Jumpmasters poor old Biggs is likely quite quite dead before R2 or R5 can really help and I've never been too keen on R4 as big dice attacks usually come with a crit or two that R4 can't do anything about

The Autoblaster was just to fill points, although thinking of cutting it to swap Jan for another Recon, either that or drop the Tracers

Interesting list. You've put a lot of points into toughness but may come up short on firepower.

Biggs is.....okay. R2-F2 is okay, but isn't that much better than getting a focus token (in fact, with Jan Ors to make that focus token an evade token, it's significantly worse). I get that Airen Cracken could hand a free action, but....do you especially need two free actions?

If you want something to set off Integrated Astromech, might I consider R4-D6. It needs 3+ uncancelled non-critical hits to trigger (not ideal) but it's one sodding point. If it triggers once in four games, you've broken even with a shield upgrade, and with jumpmasters lobbing multiple torpedoes, the odds are not bad of getting it to trigger multiple times in the first exchange of fire.

At the same time, it should work. Park Biggs behind the Ghost and he's getting 2 agility + 1 from R2-F2 +1 from the Tactical Jammer. Add in an evade die and Kanan's ability and the odds of actually hitting him are low - so low, in fact, that R2-F2 might actually be a good call. The question is your return firepower - I'm not sure if there's a way to replace cracken with someone shootier? Garven Dreis might be nice; R2-D6 & Veteran Instincts - get a 3-dice primary attack then pass your focus token (as either a focus or an evade) to Biggs prior to the bulk of shots firing.

As to the sensor jammer - It's not a bad card, but works best when playing multiple token-related tricks. In a list with Carnor Jax, or Phantoms with Juke, or both, it becomes very effective.
More importantly, you should be absorbing most of the torpedo fire with Biggs - by the time Kanan starts getting shot at, you should be already halfway there. A fire control system might get you more bang for your buck.

Cheers for feedback,

It's still a first draft, Cracken is there as a bit of bump protection as if the Ghost bumps it can go very wrong very quickly, Graven might be a plan, think I'm going to play the list as is for a bunch of games and see how it goes, I'm also erring on the side of FCS over Sensor Jammer

Bathing in elitist French expats fumes

At our last tourney, a player showed up with double recon specialists, tactical jammer on Kanan, (he didn't have another ship, but Ezra in a shuttle). My friend tried everything to get rid of Biggs (torpedo shots, range 1 shots) but he never could, in the end. (Biggs had R2-D2 though).
