I thought I had seen a "Start Collecting" size box set for the new Flesh-Eater Courts faction, but looking at the GWUS website the only set I see is the big "King Vlagorescu's Ghoulish Host". Has anyone else seen or heard evidence of a "Start Collecting" box for this faction, or am I just imagining things?

Thanks!

Gathering the Informations.

There has not been one, nor will there likely be one for a short time.

It's worth mentioning that the Ghoulish Host box does actually include a unique formation within it, and it's a pretty dang good deal considering the contents.

Even though I don't plan to play them for a while, my wife grabbed me the discounted bundle for a future gift, as we understand that many of these bundles do disappear in time. I don't know how true that is, but all things considered the $180 bundle is insanely cheap. If you get an online shop discount on top of it, its literally every bit as incredible as a "Start Collecting" discount.

Plus, it might be a good idea to have more Horror kits to build Courtiers, and for summons... ditto with Ghouls.

Damn... now I wish we had bought two.

It wouldn't make too much sense to have a start collecting box for a "new" faction, because it would take away some of that sweet profits from buying the individual boxes full price.

Yet they made a Start Collecting box for the "new" Seraphon.

Too bad.

Adding up the components, it really is a great deal, and I really like that Terrorgeist model. I just thought I'd start a little smaller as I have not even played AoS up to this point.

Except the Flesh-Eater Court is all old models. Just like all the other Start Collecting box sets.

In that case, just build it in stages.

Follow the directions and build the King on foot rather than on Terrorgheist, and then you can run a Terrorgheist solo later on.

Then if you decide you want a second box later? Build the Terrorgheist with the King mounted on it and the rest of the stuff is fair game for you.

Well...yes and no.
The AoS ones? Definitely.
Two of the 40k ones became the easiest way to get models that were previously only available in larger sets(the Tau Ethereal on Hover Drone and Terminator Captain for Space Marines).

Yet they made a Start Collecting box for the "new" Seraphon.

They also did one for two different Death factions.

Really, it's worth considering the timeframe. Seraphon came out as part of the initial batch of Start Collecting sets. If Seraphon hadn't gotten a Start Collecting set, there wouldn't be a single Start Collecting set for an Order faction.

You've missed my point I believe. Seraphon are a "new" faction composed of old models, just like the Flesh-eater Courts are a "new" faction composed of old models. This disproves the quoted statement that WarbossDakka made because Seraphon received a Start Collecting box.

So as to not make another thread, i'll piggyback here with a question.

My wife gave me my Flesh-Eater Courts early, and as excited as I am, that one big box isn't quite enough to play a "normal" sized game under either of our comps of choices.

I do however, own a butt-load of old Tomb Kings models.

Any good synergies there? I have yet to dust-off said Tomb Kings for AoS so I am unfamiliar with them.

Unfortunately Tomb Kings mostly focused on skeletons with a lot of command abilities. Where flesh-eaters are mostly flesh eater, I am not sure of a command ability from either that is death keyword, but to fill out a list could work and the sphynxs are good to add to anything.
