Oops. You're right, its 1st company. I'll edit it out.

How would I put an HQ in there? they are both formation detachments.

I really don't know, you might have to consider a random unbound captain or something, because as of now you're handing over warlord kill really easily, but if your group/tourneys don't allow unbound then I guess a sarge'll have to do. BTW, you could trade the storm wing for another land raider and you'll have the spearhead formation, which could be better/worst depending on the situation. I'd say better, since a third of your army is in reserves, and bad rolls can screw you over that way. You're trading air superiority but with that new death from the skies dogfight BS It'll probably just slow the game down.

And for further tactics who are your main opponents? Is this an all comer list? Just curious.

Mostly I just wanted to create a relatively cheap list that I could populate with used models. I figure I could buy the termies over ebay, maybe the land raiders as well, paint over them if need be, and I wanted the StormTalen Gunships regardless cause 'dat 7 dakka a turn. I could take a landspeeder instead of a Stormraven and that would let me use a Raptor Wing Formation and bring my gunships in on turn 2.

I like the first one better. This one has more bodies, but your stern are gonna be dead after the alpha strike. The storm raven will probably serve you better in terms of shooting and delivery even with it's reserves problems. I guess I should stop talking about the captain too, lol . Plus, all terminator armies are cool.

p.s. I'd take an assault cannon over cyclone, rending is better than ap 3 imo.
