Hey so I am making a 2k point army for 40k to play with a mate. Now here is the question I got the bread and butter codex for chaos but was wondeing. Out of all the supplements ect who has excess to the most termies? My plan is basically to run termie chaos lord, termie chaos sorcs and atleats two units of termies to go with them.
But I need more atleast 30 termies lol. Any help on this or is it best to stick to bread and butter codex?

The Purge detachment from varks can be pretty much all terminator, but it limits you to nurgle only.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now. |

I forget if it's in the new black legion or crimson slaughter supplements but there is a formation of I think 1-3 chaos lords 1-3 sorcerers and 1-6 termie squads and each termie squad has to be attached to either a lord or sorcerer. Don't have the book on me though so I don't know the bonuses exactly so it's better off investigating yourself. Good luck with the game!
Edit: Copy paste from the 1d4chan Chaos Space Marines Tactics 7E: The Chosen of Abaddon - 1-4 Chaos Lords or Sorcerers, plus a unit of Chosen or Terminators for each one. Each Sorcerer or Chaos Lord has to join one of the corresponding units of Chosen/Terminators (and can't leave). While the character his with his unit, they get Fearless. Each Chaos Lord/Sorcerer in the formation gets to roll on the Boon table, re-rolling Spawnhood and Dark Apotheosis results. Not particularly useful, given that you give up flexibility for a crack at a bad chart of upgrades.

That's the best mark though. MoT and MoK are nice, but that's it.
If you really want MoK, pay the tax for the formation from Daemonkin. It gives Rampage I believe. That's cool for Termicide.

The Black Legion formation has two ways of taking an All Terminator List:
Chosen of Abaddon lets you get a Lord or Sorc and pair it with a single unit of Termies with some decent benefits, while you can also use the Cyclopean Cabal to grab a few Sorcerors (who can also equip Terminator Armor). These two are a little better than the Purged Detachment in that you can get some special rules to go with it (the Cyclopean Cabal making the Sorcerors actually useful) but also comes with the drawback of not giving you slots for really anything else.
There's also a third formation where you can field a squad of Termies with Abaddon, but this one requires a specific character and thus can only be fielded once. It grants a unique bonus of giving the Termies improved stats and obviously lets you field Abaddon.

But why would you want to field Abigail? He's one of the biggest failures of the codex.
You also don't use The Purge because of benefits. You use it because of the slots themselves. 4 Heavy + 6 Elite and you ally in anything Fast Attack via Daemonkin.

Normally you'd be able to sub-out a Lord for a named character but this is basically the only way to have Abby as a choice.
Plus his formation is unique with the bonuses, which actually do help the terminators under him.
