Subject: I Am Setsuna: Classic JRPG based on Chrono Trigger's Battle System
Didn't see a thread on this yet. As much as I need another RPG i'll never finish, this looks like a blast. Comes out in July and the battle system was intentionally built to be like Chrono Trigger. Anyone have thoughts on it? It's already out in Japan and gotten pretty positive reviews.

Definitely. I don't think it's a harsh price point, just one I'm personally having a hard time justifying (money is tight, not destitute, but trying to limit luxuries).
Finally picked it up myself. Pretty fun RPG, though I have to agree that A) it's almost too easy, outside of boss fights most enemies are chumps and B) it almost draws on Chrono Trigger and the like too much, but overall it's fun
About to finish the game. Want to chime in that' it's a solid 8/10 JRPG, with great music, but I have a couple gripes.
Spoiler:
Pros: fun, easy to pick up, solid music and storyline, pull offf some fun combos, neat little Chrono Trigger throwbacks, save point before every boss so you didn't waste 30+ minutes in a dungeon when you die at the boss
Cons: huge swing in difficulty, specifically at one boss then continuing on, you get another character literally at the final boss, so little time to experiment with him, getting certain "Spritnites" i.e. abilities is a pain as you have to grind them off guys by killing them with a certain weapon type, managing them can be a pain too.
Overall, worth the $40. If you look for problems, you can find them, but I loved this game for being a pure throwback of old school RPGs
