Interesting to see plasmaguns in there. As for boob armour, well, there's a lot more to Sisters than their breasts. I'd hope that people are fans of Sisters in spite of their boob armour and not because of it.

I know I am. And there are a bunch of posters on Dakka that obviously are too!

I think one of the major issues with sisters of battle's armour is that nearly EVERYONE who is a fan of sisters is a fan in spite of the boob armor, and not because of it. The people who defend it seem to be doing so more out of nostalgia and because it's traditional rather than because they have any fondness for it (I could be wrong but that's the impression I get)

As it is, it's a feature of the sisters that the vast majority of people don't care about at best (and dislike or despise at worse) yet it sticks around because reasons.

However, to get things marginally back on topic, some random Russian company doing questionable copyright ethics shouldn't be responsible for changing such a thing anyways. That would be GW's job (and one that you really can't expect GW to do even if they hypothetically wanted to if they never update Sisters in the first place)

People defend it because it makes them uncomfortable to admit that we don't have equality. I should clarify that my post was in response to:

All possible improvements aside, these are by far the best Sisters ever made, and it's commendable of the creator to stick to the artwork while updating the sculpt. In other words, how Sisters look canonically in 40k is not Grishnark's to decide, and we can't criticise for sticking to the original even when certain elements could have been improved.

I have too many Sisters models to want an aesthetic change. I'm a bit of a stickler for things looking consistent in my armies. Even these Grishnark models seem a bit smaller in the unboxing video. I'm enough of a nutter to know that it would bug me. Nobody would probably say a thing, but I would know, and that's the entire problem.

If I were GW I would hire this guy, he has skill and a passion for it as well as the apparent ability to find a solution to all the problems GW has said they've had bringing plastic Sisters to market. Unless they have something in the works for real, not just a 10 year old rumor, or is it 15? They should snatch him up and get him making Sisters under the official label.

I don't see myself wanting any of these but that's only because I sold my soul to ebay just to get the Sisters models I already have.

A ton of armies and a terrain habit...

I don't know why EVERYONE keeps bringing up that "we can't do plastic sisters because..." Thing. IIRC that was many, many years ago, it's irrelevant today and I'm sure everyone realises that GW would have no technical problems like that.

I thought it was more a sculpting problem - how do you do multi-pose sisters and keep the flowing robes without them looking silly? The Grishnark Sisters and GW's Skitarii are essentially mono-pose.

Then don't make them multipose.
People just want plastic sisters. Them not being multipose isn't an issue.
Of course, just try telling GW that.

Many of their new kits are multi-option but single-pose, Skitarii for example.
Edit: just read what I quoted and realised I just repeated it

while i would say they would have no problems, from seeing their latest figures. I think GW will use this as the go to excuse.

If we don't get new Sisters models by Feb next year I'm buying 200 of these models. I was on the mailing list but declined when he said the models were ready and I could order them. 2 days earlier the GW bin video had come out. Now I'm not so sure if we are getting new sisters in plastic or not anytime soon. These models are the best sisters count as models out there, well they are basically rip offs.

I love boobs and boob plate armour

Those models look good and are priced reasonably, but I think I'll hold off for GW's next take in HIPS.

I like the aesthetics of the current Sisters except the boob plate. But my dislike for it is purely aesthetic. I'd prefer the corset became a basque and reduced the plate boobs to plate cleavage.

Still tempted to order these...
