Any army that is not Space Marines vs any other Army that is not Space Marines (or any variants thereof). But we all know that won't happen since one of the armies has to be Marines.

Not having Space Marines is pretty much not going to happen. When was the last time there was a boxed set/Starter without Space Marines?

I would love to see Blood Angels vs. Khorne Daemonkin. Chaos Daemons are supposed to be converging on Baal at the same time as Hive Fleet Leviathan. But I am more thinking we will be seeing Space Wolves vs. Thousand Sons.

Well orks v space marines was just released btu it is just some of the AOBR models..

I would prefer 2 see a IG v a xenos race or a sisters of battle v xenos. but as stated that is unlikely to occur.

Ideally though Sisters V chaos would be a fun set and sell a lot of models, co release this with plastic sisters of battle and codex update.

Meh, we have had Orks recently too. Black Templars (with "exclusive" plastic Emperor's Champion model) would be welcome. Especially if it came with some new rules for a BT "Gladius" and unique relics. But their upgrade kit isn't 100% compatible with the newer SM kits, so it is less likely. But it could give them an excuse to remake the upgrade kit for Black Templars.

I would buy the GAK out of that, but it probably won't happen. Chaos doesn't have a Super Formation beyond Khorne Daemonkin either. Are DEldar even actively causing trouble for anyone right now?

Here's a random idea...sell three starting army boxes. I know this complicates things a little bit...but would be brilliant for sales.

Imperial Guard vs. Tyranids

Chaos vs. Tau

Eldar vs. Space Marines

etc. Why not offer a little bit of option --- and seasoned players will scoop them up by the ton to bulk out existing armies.

With stuff like the Start Collecting boxed sets and the separated boxed sets from War Zone: Damocles, I think the idea of a paired starter set is pretty well dead. They just need to put Start Collecting boxed sets out for all of the armies. I would still like to see sets like Shadow Force Solaq and whatever the Tau box was, though.

Sisters vs Tyranids - Artwork, Characters and fluff from the Shield of Baal Campaign - all there and ready to go

Commissar Cain and the 597th Valhallen Regiment versus either Orks or Tyranids

Or really, I kind of don't like dual-army boxes; I like the start collecting boxes, I really just want to see more of those, and ways to quickly play battles between them, so new players can just pick an army they like, pick one of the start collecting boxes (if there's a choice) and play against someone else who has done the same.
