Hi everyone,
Underestimated games here. Not sure if we have any followers of our game Purgatory on here but we thought we would share two of our latest models we are prepping for our kickstarter in October.
If you are not familiar with our game please feel free to check it out:
https://www.facebook.com/purgatoryminiatures/
http://www.purgatory-miniatures.co.uk/
We also have an artbook that you should check out!
http://us11.campaign-archive1.com/?u=49dfaf628b421663ed99da913&id=947c65c379
We had two big reveals today Siren and Moloch. What do you all think? Clearly Moloch is someway off so have included some artwork to give some idea of what the big fella is going to look like!

Is this a giant four-armed mechanical Minotaur walking through the park while grabbing children and putting them in his torso which is an oven? Really?
Cool!

If you can (or even if it makes sense for casting) make the child a separate piece, I'd be really excited to buy this miniature! Awesome minotaurs, especially with mechanical bits, are hard to find and I'd be all over it
October launch with a delivery later than that feels like a long time off, though - any chance of selling some models beforehand to generate further interest?

Yes Dryaktylus that's exactly what he is!!! I've used him a lot in playtesting and he's badass!
Here are some more of the models we have been working on in order:
Erishkigal
St Peter
Bobby B (event only)
Hannibal
Keysha
Death
Automatically Appended Next Post: Hi RiTides we have a shop via our facebook page (link in the first post). You can check out all the models we have available there that are ready to purchase now.
The children will be separate I'm sure. The idea is we want people to be able to customise our models as much or as little as they like.
To us with everything we need to get done before KS October really doesn't seem that far off! We are really excited about the game so we just want to share it with as many people as possible.

That's awesome about the children being separate on the mechanical minotaur model, really looking forward to it! What base size is the WIP shown on (might be different from what is intended for the final model)?

We'll keep you posted as the model progresses but we will probably be leaving the finer details as a surprise! Do you know I'm not sure what size base he is on at the moment but the finished model will be on 50mm. Well my goodies from Purgatory have arrived (nice quick shipping) so here's a mini review (and a big thank you for the freebies) The minis are very well cast in high quality resin, no mould lines that I can see, and just a little very fine flash that will brush off easily, so thumbs up there the minis are packed in a craft box with the company logo and mini name on them and contain a bunch of goodies along with the mini Hanibal comes with a resin base (steampunk style cogs), art card, purgatory sticker, double sided game card (at least I think that's what it will be) and a business card Death comes with a plastic base, art card, purgatory sticker, double sided game card (at least I think that's what it will be) and a business card I also got some sweets (who doesn't like a few jelly beans) a short story (I've not read it yet but I will) a page of comic style art a couple of art cards for some of their other minis and a code to use for their upcoming KS for an exclusive card set a wealth of cool stuff indeed, now I just need to find space in the painting queue for Hanibal and his elephant!

Hi everyone,
A little update on some new characters we have been working on.
First up is Mike. He will fight alongside Erishkigal in her soul train faction. We are really pleased with the level of detail our sculptor has managed to get into this miniature!
Next we have some colour art work for our character Jess. She will form part of Murder Inc which is led by Moloch (the big mechanical minotaur).
Last but definitely not least is our next angel/host Penemue. We are really excited to see this miniature progress from the concept art you see here to the final model!

Fighting and war is never nice but we are sorry if Moloch has offended you. We are ardent gamers ourselves of course and we have seen things from all games companies (Games Workshop included) that fly a little close to the wind so to speak. That said we do put a lot of thought into what we are doing and recently withdrew a character from our line up as recent events made him a little distasteful.
Perhaps if I expand a bit of Moloch's character and how he fits in our universe for you it might make you feel a little less uneasy towards him.
The real Moloch that our character is based on was a bronze statue with a fire burning inside it into which sacrificial victims were thrown. It just so happens that Moloch requires a very costly sacrifice which is why historically it has been a sacrifice of young people by their parents. See, we haven't come up with any of this but you may be thinking why have you allowed within your own game a massive Minotaur stuffing young adults into his chest. Well when we were coming up with the hosts for all of our cohorts we needed some good guys, some bad guys, and some neutral or questionable in their allegiance. Moloch clearly stood out as someone who could lead the worst of the worst. Now obviously making him a statue would be rather boring for a game so we made him mobile (although pretty slow). We came up with this artwork to show him as a dynamic being running amok on Earth where he clearly doesn't belong doing the thing that Moloch does best. Now none of us at Purgatory are as comfortable with the idea of child sacrifice as any other civilised human being however there are several reasons we thought it would be ok to include Moloch in our game. Namely the use of sacrifice to deities across human history in real life (our Moloch is just a drawing), the use of sacrifice in other games (The God Emperor of mankind in 40k for example), and the fact that in our universe people don't die as we understand it in the real world. The Earth was not designed to accommodate the power of all these angels and physics, reality, and time have all been skewed beyond recognition. People who were once dead have come back to life and people who die get reborn. As we expand our universe that will become a lot more clear but although the kids in this particular scene with Moloch don't look as though they are having a particularly good time of it they will be just fine. We promise!!!

Hi everyone, Purgatory here again.
As we move ever closer to our Kickstarter we are starting to ramp things up a bit. There are now loads of people out there playing games. If anyone on here would like to see the rules give us a shout. We now have everything you need to play for free just to give you a feel for it and give us your feedback!
We thought we would share with you our final art for Penemue. We are really happy with how it has turned out.
Also Bobby B as painted by our very own in house painter and Hannibal painted by one of our fellow gamers.
We would also like to introduce Harut. He's the latest host angel to be added to our line up. Follow the link on our signature to our Facebook page to read a short story about his origins.

Moloch will come with two options. One with the children and one without. It was always our plan to have Moloch this way for lots of reasons. Not least so that people can make use of him in other gaming systems.
He will be available through the kickstarter so watch this space!

Thanks! We are loving the way this character has developed. She is good fun in the game too. Probably my favourite host to use although Moloch is obviously a close contender!
