Just finished my first models and got some pictures here. They are from the Skitarii range and I used a forge world (or research post, it's complicated) I haven't seen called Konor. It is located in Ultramar so I based the colors on the Ultramarines.

These look awesome, and I like the way you've used a nut as basing material. Very apt.

I love the brushwork but don't like the bolt/washer etc. as basing materials. Too immediately identifiable and ruins the image for me.

Nice job, good to see something other than red robes on them.

Dig it, maybe for your basing stuff - instead of one bigger nut, go for some smaller nuts and washers laid out on the floor like the dude is walking through a workshop?

On a forgeworld they're gonna have big nuts like that (hah - PHRASING) for big stuff like titans and such, but maybe some variety could be in order.

Keep up the good work! The color scheme and execution of the painting is solid.

Glad you liked it. I feel that I should point that those are small nuts (Phasing). Regular sized one would never fit on those bases with a model on it. That's not to say I'm not looking for better stuff but it's what I could get. Also yes I was going for the look of an derelict forge world with broken down titans and stuff, glad you noticed.

Bravo. Sorry the 'phrasing' was from a show I watch called Archer. He says that when someone says something that could be turned into a dirty joke lol

Keep up the good work!

You have a really great start here! I think the comment about laying nuts or washers flat may be a good idea as they occupy so much space on this scale. I also think some red sand or textured paste would add a lot to those bases and stop your added pieces from being so jarring.

Keep it up!

Love the colour scheme. The unit looks nice and cohesive. Personally, I like the nuts (phrasing, indeed) ... maybe strew around some broken watch parts (bags available through the interwebs) to break up the outlines a little?

Thanks for sharing - they're great.
