Well, the EA conference was just so disappointing. I really hope this was the worst of them all, else this E3 is going to be so bad.
Loved that they said gameplay trailer for Battlefield 1 without actual gameplay in it. Trying to see the actual gameplay stream now. Want to see how it actually plays.
Well... I guess... BF1 is really overhyped. It looks nice but it didn't wow me whatsoever after seeing the actual gameplay.

Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.
Sitting here expecting to watch people playing BF1, instead I get fething 20 minutes-and-counting of some hyperactive moron interviewing celebrity lemons barely capable of stringing a coherent sentence together about the game let alone actually be fans of it.
Seriously, do EA really expect folk to go "Oh wow, 30 seconds of Snoop pretending to be enthused, I'm totes sold and will deffo buy this game now!"? Ugh, I was cringing so hard I just about broke my back.
EDIT: Oh jeebus, they have the celeb-u-shills using xbone controllers while the actual BF youtubers/streamers are all on PC

Was a bit disappointed they're not playing to the theme a touch more - everyone except the sniper seemed to have an auto or semiauto main weapon and plane pilots have bloody parachutes. I can force myself to ignore the weapon issue because semiauto rifles did begin to see frontline infantry use with the French towards the end of the war(they were only really used by aircrew before that because the mechanisms were too delicate for muddy/dusty ground war), but the parachute thing bugs me, not least because their rarity among German aircraft and total absence from Entente armies gave DICE a perfect excuse to fix the bailing pilots problem while covering their own arses from whinging("Hey, brah, we'd love to let you petty scrubs keep depriving the enemy who bested you of their kill, but they didn't have parachutes on planes in WW1, sorry!"), and they bottled it.
I hope bolt-actions without scopes are at least options(viable ones) for other classes as well.

BF1 looked amazing, as I expected - still won't be buying it (Alternate WWI holds almost zero interest for me).
I did catch the ME: Andromeda trailer - limited as you'd expect but it looked like actual in-game shots mostly, reminded me of current gen Inquisition in terms of quality. Probably the biggest hype moment for me was when we get to see a beloved hero make an updated return - not a character per se, but she was with us throughout every title - and she's gotten an upgrade!
Titanfall looks fun, even more chaotic and mecha-awesome than before. Now complete with a single player campaign, woot!
Truthfully the storymode for the new CoD looks pretty cool - I've always been a fan of their SP's - so that might be purchased later.
The HD remake of Skyrim! Man, that's pretty exciting - and it's free to Steam users that own everything already (original game and all the expacs), nothing for console users yet. And it comes with mod support for consoles too! It's mentioned that it will probably NOT ship with the script extender so there won't be a lot of mods that work with it - but hey, it's progress.
I've been poking around on YouTube trying to get my fix, but otherwise I'm pretty happy with the turnout this year.

Missed the EA one due to work, but the Bethesda one was a letdown. I guess they didn't have much to play with compared to last year but nothing got me excited.
Especially the new Quake. They remade Doom very well, but now it seems like they're trying to make an Overwatch clone with the Quake brand slapped on it. Lord help us...
Edit: Well the Fallout DLC got me excited, but that's a given

At least it's better than what I expected, i.e. basically modded Skyrim for $60. I wonder if they are updating it so it can fully utilize a 64x system?
Still, though, Skyrim doesn't need a remaster. IF they are going to remaster something, how about Morrowind? Or maybe Oblivan. Hell, I'd love a remaster of F:NV if they didn't feth up the systems.

They are going to show more DOW 3 stuff on the PCgamer stream in a bit.

I would love a remastered Oblivion, but that would be much harder to make, I imagine, the mechanics would probably need overhauling to bring it up to scratch. Skyrim on the other hand is easy enough to take from looking good to looking amazing (for those of us on consoles, and thus without the various graphics mods available, this is very welcome), the mechanics are fine and as a game, it is still fantastic.
As someone who's bought both the original and Legendary versions, I'll still happily pay up to £30 or so for this, it's endlessly replayable, looks stunning now, and the ability to mod on consoles in theory makes it even more worth it.
I'm excited for DIshonoured 2. The first one was one of the very best games of the previous gen.

This is the only game from the entire show I have preordered the collectors edition for. It didn't try and cram gak down my throat like dlc and expansions it just sells a complete game start to finish no micro whale oil crates to unlock for real cash and grindy mechanics.
Thank the lord!

Awww, yissss. M&B2 can't get into to my grubby little hands soon enough. I just checked, and I've clocked 427 hours on just the Steam version of Warband. Who knows how many hours I pumped into the original (I bought it back when it was still in development). One of those games where I don't care if I get super duper graphics as long as the gameplay delivers.

Yeah, it;s an interesting system. I'm still disappointed that there are no tau, and will probably wait until they release a version/DLC with them, but otherwise it looks good so far. All I really want at this point it DOW1, but better. Glad it looks like they are moving in that direction, DOW2 was of little interest to me.
Automatically Appended Next Post: I realized that the Nintendo conference is happening at 12 tomorrow, I might have to sneak it in the middle of class...

Yeah, Dishonored looks amazing. Loved the first one, just hope this one it more open. That sort of reminds me I still need to pick up brigmore witches.

Same here! I caught the teaser many months ago and became instantly interested in it - so much that I've considered getting the older ones just to see how they are.

Apparently a villain in the dlc is important in the sequel so if you want to get up to speed looks like its recommended. I certainly need to.
