Emperors Champion with Buster Sword. The idea was Black Templar successor chapter who turn their armor to white. Though I dislike trying to paint white armor. I still like the concept of this paint scheme. At least they're not bare plastic.

I think its a good scheme and the models look nice. I have to admit, I am tired of black schemed armies, so am always happy to see something like this. That said, I do hear you on painting white...

Keeping the hobby side alive!

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

Very chalky, I highly suggest priming white if you have not already, and use very thinned paint in multiple coats to build up a smooth finish.

White is one of the hardest colors to paint, shortcuts like primer and and zenithal airbrushing will make life much easier for army painting.

Take your time, and you will get better and better

What I found is a good tip for white is paint it light grey, and edge highlight it white. It still looks white yet less gritty like white paint can be.

If you can't believe in yourself, believe in me! Believe in the Dakka who believes in you!

I like the color scheme, very pure looking! But yes, white is a very hard color to paint. Every GW white paint can i've bought is chunky.

Another good tip for white is to make sure that you are thinning it with clean water. You obviously should be doing this for every colour, but dirty water (i.e. that you just washed your brush in) makes white paint really chalky looking.

GW white paints suck. Mine have always been chunky too. For white paint it is better to get a different brand (I am a really big fan of Vallejo's off white)

GW white also looks chalky since its a matt white. You could instantly get the 'storm-trooper' look by going with a glossier white.

I can appreciate the pain of painting white. I cheat and use Army Painter primer...but then I have to rely on dip for any depth. Comes off looking more like abused white!

I would never ever have the patience for doing brushed on white. I always prime in black, so priming white is even a pain.

That is an awesome idea.
