Hi,
In the last month I have played a couple of games against my cousins dark angel (Deathwing / Ravenwing) and i got beaten very badly.
He Normally brings

HQs
Chaplain interigator (Warlord): mace of redemtion, shroud of heroes

Azrael/ belial/ special ravenwing speeder

Troops
tactical squad*2: plasma pistol, plasma cannon

Elites: Up to 3 termies with assault cannons and a command squad\
vNGUARD OR STERNGUARD VETS.

Fast attack (instead of elite)

2 ravenwing bike squad + attack bike

On my side I have:
HQ
ork warboss: mega armor, dead shiny shoota, da lucky stick

Troops
3 ten man shoota: nob PK, Bosspole, kombi skorcha, big shoota
1 ten man choppa: nob PK, bosspole, heavy armor, big shoota.

Elites:
tankbustas

burnas
(meks with killsaw and kustum mega blasta)

Fast attack
Dakka jet 3 supa shootas fly boss and red paint job

Heavy support

lootas

battle wagon: kill kannon, 4 bigshootas, 'ard case

Deff dread

So how do I beat his angels? any help is much apriciated.

Who goes in the battle wagon?

Also, Deff Dreads are considered to be poor units. They are a melee-focused unit that can only move 6 inches per turn unless they run. They also do not have waagh or 'ere we go, so they're even slower than foot boys. They have no transport options, stealth options or deep strike options.

Best thing you can do with your list is remove that unit and replace it with something else.

Best units in the codex are considered to be Lootas, Mek Guns, Warbikers and Meganobs. Adding those units to your list should basically improve your chances.

What is the Battlewagon being used for? I noticed it has a killcannon with 4 big shootas and an ard case, so it sounds like you're using it as a fire base for the lootas instead of using it as a transport. Not sure how I feel about that considering most of your list is geared towards close range units that have to get into close combat.

Maybe try building either a shooty list or a choppy list.

Mek guns and more lootas with an ADL could be an interesting way to increase your shooting power.

Bikes are versatile, they can be used at midfield and can have powerful shooting and be used effectively in the assault.

Meganobs would need to be used in a transport option since they cannot run and they are exclusively close combat units.

Yes I thought about mek gunz and I'am already making a few.

I don't like lootas because they don't work for me in any game
possibly because I take too few and an aegis defense line was always in my plans.

Terminators huh?

My buddy played some of the Mixed wing stuff when that book came out, Terminators don't like ork boyz.

Burnas< Ork Boyz already do anything they can do
Deff Dread< Is this is a fluffhammer game and you are a Goff Ork stomping about?
Dakkajet< Shot quantity is poor compared to other ork things.

Any one of these individual units might be okay, but the combination weakens what orkz could be doing for you. Also, the Battlewagon needs to lose the Killkannon or the big shootas.

Someone sporting three squads of terminators, that many HQ's, and a couple bikes, will have trouble removing orkz due to a slight lack of volumetric fire.

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

Mobility wins this game, and apart from whatever's in your battlewagon, your footslogging your greenskins. Get some trukks, get some bikes, get some deffkopters....you need to be able to get places sooner than later in this game to have any chance to win.

well for starters, your cheating. You can only take 1 relic per character, and on your warboss you have the De'd Shiny Shoota and DLS, 2nd way your cheating, is you gave your Nob Eavy armor in that boyz squad, unfortunately our codex doesn't allow Eavy armor for the nob, its either EVERYONE or no one.

So first step, get rid of all the special weapons in your boyz squads, they are just wasting points. Your paying 5 points for a big shoota which reliably puts out about 0.66 wounds a turn against T4 models. (3 shots at BS2 = 1 hit at S5 vs T4 = 66% chance to wound) and the SM gets a 3+ against it....so...yeah not worth 5pts.

2nd, Get rid of the Kombi Skorcha's on your nobz as well. They are good, but realistically your not going to get to use them often because your going to be hiding your nob in the center of the boyz blob to keep him from dying before he gets into CC.

Next, Ditch the Dakka Jet it is utter trash. 9 TL S6 shots on a AV10 platform is just fething stupid. Take all those points you just saved and take a Warbikers squad with a Nob PK/BP. For the same amount of points you can take 3 bikers with that nob, they put out 12 S5 TL shots, and they can get a 3+ Jink save rather easily. You put your Warboss on a Bike with DLS and PK and you have yourself a mini deathstar, especially if you get a Painboy on a bike, that is a hard to kill unit, especially against the list you mention (You get a 5+ FNP even against Power Fist attacks)

Next, ditch the Burna's Completely, take those saved points and the points you shaved from your Boyz squads to increase the size of each one of those squads. 10 boyz isnt scary, if you inflict 3 wounds on them they take a morale test and probably kill another 3 models themselves......20 boyz in a squad though can make marines start to get scared, especially when you have 4 squads like that, you start taking up the entire board, denying his units any space to maneuver.

Against a DA opponent I would say ditch the Tankbustas, they are a good unit, but they die really easily and they are wasted taking pot shots at Marines, S8 AP3 is great and all but in a Squad of 9 Tankbustas your only hitting 3 times and wounding 2-3 times. On the return fire your going to lose most of that squad, and since he doesn't have any vehicles to pop I would take those points and either increase your Boyz squads again or get more Biker boyz.

Ironically, against that list (unless he brought melta bombs) your pretty well off taking that Battlewagon, if he doesn't bring dedicated anti-tank you can fight him with that unit as your center piece, protecting its rear and to a lesser extent sides. if the best he has is Plasma then he can never hurt the front arc and only glancing the sides on a 5. I would change the Big shootas to Rokkit Launcha's though. Same cost, but better chance to get a wound against bikers and tacticals.

From there what you want to do is use your giant boyz blobs to take up the board space so he cant maneuver, get lots of objectives this way and deny him access. With your biker deathstar I would target his units for destruction one by one, try to avoid getting into CC with his deathstar (Orks lack Invul so our characters die....a lot) Use your lootas to take pot shots at the biker squads and terminator and the Kill Kannon BW to lay down fire on his sternguard or tacticals.

Burnas are fun but not worth the points. lootas are great in squads of 10-15 at minimum like 15 attacks and at s7 most stuff withers under that. the only issue for lootas behind an aegis is barrage stuff.
