Knowing what sort of look you want would help. Rotten flesh, nurgley green, infected skin etc.

Hey I'm not really sure what your "table top standard" is since it veries from person to person, but I can give you an exact breakdown of how I painted my nurgle csm if you are interested. these guys are super easy to paint and you can do as many or little layers ad you wish depending on what you consider table top standard. this is my personal table top standard but once again I can give you a basic version of this look that is super easy to do. here is a link and if your interested just shoot me a pm or mssg me back here.

At the time my right arm was in a cast & so I resorted to 'dipping' but am really pleased with the results.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Hey Oli,

So I just realized that you are nurgle daemons and not chaos space marine but that's just fine, I if you can use this tutorial for your army that's great. I'm going to just break it down into sections for you and if you want the look without to many layers I would suggest just following base coat/wash/highlight.

armour

Base coat death forest green, wash with sereph sepia, highlight death forest green. After this highlight there is a couple ways you can go. Most people do a final highlight in nurglings green but I personally wanted a more mustard green. I mixed yellow with death world forest and then dry brushed and extreme high with zemesi desert on the real nurgle looking parts.

rust

Base coat leadbelcher, wash nuln oil, layer of typhus corrosion, dry brush Ryza rust.

trim

Base coat warlock bronze, wash aggrax earth shade, highlight Balthasar gold, extreme highlight leadbeltcher

helmet/white

Base coat rakarth flesh, highlight pailed wych flesh, wash sereph sepia, highlight pailed wych flesh, extreme highlight white

bone

Highlight ushabdi bone, wash Sereph sepia (dirty)/ nuln oil ( clean), highlight ushabdi bone, highlight screaming skull, highlight pailed wych flesh mixed with screaming skull, extreme highlight pailed Wych flesh

If there is anything I didn't go over or if you have any questions about anything just let me know. Good luck painted my friend can't wait to see what yah come up with.

Cheers!
