So I was without my camera for a bit, but I got it back, got to take some snaps of finished stuff:



My headhunters! Not sure how I feel about these compared to my vets, the chests almost look a bit too meh without any extra silver/details on them to break up the blue a bit.



The consul! I think his cape is much better than my first green cape effort on the Praetor. Also I think I am pleased with how the axe all turned out - wasn't sure if it was going to be too many colours for it.

C&C welcome - these guys, like all my Alpha legion, are painted so I can knock out large quantities quickly (the guns took as long as the armour/trim to paint.,..)

Looks good to me, especially the Sergeant pointing "Yes, we're coming for you!"

Alpha Legion got a really nice armour colour, visually it stands out.

I like it; I bookmarked your thread a while back as inspiration for my own upcoming Alpha's.

Love the Axe. Alphas are an intimidating armor scheme for me, I'm impressed with yours though, great job.

Beautiful metalic blue! I also love the lime green you've done for the plume, it provides a crisp accent!

I like that their armour scheme is a bit intimidating, means i can get away with them not being covered in battle damage and still look a bit nasty.
Initially reluctant to put so much green; "blue and green should never be seen" but it seems to work okay!

Solid work mate. Definitely looking good, I followed the image links to the gallery to put down a rating ! Very nicely done.

I myself have been tempted to get into 30k lately, and after a lot of consideration im 50-50 torn between Alpha Legion and Sons of Horus ( that green scheme ) . If I do hit up Alpha Legion i'll have to watch some tutorials on the colour, unlike anything ive ever painted before

Sons of Horus were one of the ones on my shortlist along with Emperors Children when I was trying to decide.

I think they could actually use a few more green touches here and there to lift them up a bit, but they're lovely even as is.

Yeah the headhunters appear a bit 2-colourish, but wasn't sure which details i could add different colour to!

Hey mate, the paint I use is called "Plasma Fluid".... It's an Air Brush paint from Minitaire. I spray it over silver to get the metallic kind of feel to it.
