FMC spam is no deniable a very strong build for Daemons and Nids. I am tired of using the usual way of "ignore the sky and kill off the small guys on ground quickly, grab up VP points before being shot off the table......" Although this way can win me the game, I am now thinking wether Marines can compete for air superiority. For the points of 5 Flyrant or 4 well armed DP, Marines can bring 7-8 Stormhawk Interceptors, so why Marines cannot fight for aerial control

Using Ultramarine as example, Ironhand or White Scar or Salamander Chapter might be similar

I know either list would not be competitive. I just theory crafted it out and wanna to discuss wether it had some chances to beat FMC spam lists (such as 5 Flyrants, 2 Hive Crones; or Inferno Tetra plus Belakor plus D-thirster or well armed LoC) in aerial combat. Hope it might be a good talioring list

it would be really good at killing FMCS and other flyers, but that's about it.

You could change one of the tactical squads to a scout squad, since they are going to be riding in the Stormraven anyways, might as well do so while being cheaper.

There was a Droppod missing under that Tactical Squad equipment. So it is a total of 3 Droppods in either list. I was also thinking drop one Tactical Squad in the second list and take a Scout Squad with Sniper or plain bolter and put them in the bunker, cause I find some one must stay in that bunker to capture the comms relay.

Any more ideas? Is there any holes in these two list if fighting FMC spam list?
