generally speaking I don't post here, I'm a rank amatuer compared to most of you, but my latest Imperial Knight has me really happy so I wanted to show it off

Great job! Very clean lines and smooth colors! I like the scheme a lot as well.

yeah it's house Mortain I always liked it, was a little leery as the colours are supposed to be hard to work with but turned out nice

Looks pretty good. Would be very easy to make it really pop with a few additional bits of work.

as I'm actively working on a second one, (just base coated) I'd love to hear you expand on this.

multiple thin layers was the real trick. that yeklllow was about a good 7-9 layers or so.

I quite like the colour scheme and the smooth clean lines.

Is it just me or is the pic kinda huge?

I was just looking at it thinking a few washes and a bit of highlighting on the plates would add a lot of depth to the scheme. You have good brush work - simple crisp lines. A little bit of depth would work (and I don't do washes/highlights!)

The biggest thing I noticed since you are seeking critique is the eagle blends in, I really would try to separate the color or something, add depth to it. The tabard needs a lot of love, cleaning the lines and possible undercoat of base leather or cloth color followed up with a agrax wash. Definitely would start adding decals as it's one of those models without decals on the shoulders it looks funny same with the tabard.

Having said all that, I like the color scheme and it looks good but additional touch ups and adding depth to the model would really help. Such as a slight weathering on the joints and banners etc.

Shred City.

Really nice work but the shoulder pads are too big a space to leave blank on the Knights imo. I normally never use transfers but when my IK was all finished I just had to fill it in with symbols.

The painting is very nice though, excellent work bro.

Poor guy. Getting House Mortan decals is a pain. I had to trade off a bunch of my LE decals to get them. But I love House Mortan. So obviously Germanic! Hoping they get more fluff in the next Fenris book(s).

yeah, getting the decals may be challange, I'm wondering if maybe there's a website that simply provides a picture of the decal set that I can then print out onto some decal paper

Nothing high res enough to look good. Maybe ask around online to get just the Mortan ones. Most people I know that got the sheet used the Griffith ones and that was all.
