Starting to show its age a lot. Not only that but I find they've got some really boring unit selections visually with not a lot of customization like some newer models are spoiling me with. They are also now the weakest codex in the entire game yes even worse than Chaos Marines. Finally the last time they got an updated it removed a good chunk of their cool units that you could make. It's a horrible shredded wreck of a codex and faction at this point with no merit to it. You can't even be allied for transports anymore with Eldar and they can't jink and shoot because of the FAQ. They got nothing that can kill anything. Even though CSM and other low tier codices are not top tier they do have formations which would kick the DE's ass horribly since DE were kind of in the proto formation period before they really nailed down how to do it right.
Everything that can possibly be terrible about them is. Low firepower, slow, their poison isn't useful anymore, no ability to survive, no cool unique abilities, the cool abilities they did have have been taken from them and given to other armies, and their models are starting to look low detail with poor options. They also need a super heavy and/or gargantuan of their own to keep up with the meta.

Most people seem to think they have decent models still. Even if they didn't it doesn't compare to CSM or SoB.
The rule stuff doesn't really matter when we're talking about the model line only.

Easy, sisters.
Chaos needs new cult marines, but other than that I find no flaws in the model line (don't see why people have an issue with the "generic CSM", especially when the conversion possibilities to take from any SM faction to make your own flavor of chaos exists.)
But sisters? FFS they don't even have plastics yet. at all. its about damn time.

When you look at the Sisters responsibilities and the fact they regularly participate in Wars of Faith they should be more impactful in the setting yet strangely aren't. Every Shrine and church is supposed to have at least one Sister for starters, yet they never get mentioned even in passing in most situations where a planetary invasion occurs.
The lack of Sisters relevance is an issue with the lore presented, not the faction.

Chaos is the single most important faction in the entire setting, since it's THE antagonist that literally everyone has common ground to be fearful of.
Sisters are a minor arm of the Imperial war machine.
While both equally deserve an overhaul, the simple fact is that it's far more important to have a visibly strong & viable Chaos presence, since they are the primary driving force of the entire 40k (and AoS!), franchise.
Great stories & fictional setting need an equally great central villain.
Right now, 40k is lacking that as Chaos has been left to rot, with their most iconic & recognised army being reduced to less than joke status, alongside a model line that's half missing in its own options, AND, is now older than the majority of the gamers who frequent GW stores! (not to mention, those molds are so old, that those kits are now full of miscasts and/or blurred out details...)

Sisters. Chaos doesn't need gak all compared to what Sisters need. Chaos players who think that their faction needs model releases more than Sisters do are just fooling themselves. Almost our entire line is second edition, with the absolutely most recent models released in third edition . Many models in our line are coimpletely out of production, and Forgeworld no longer produces a single model for us and no bits save for Rhino Doors. Chaos has a wealth of models to use from both FW and GW by comparison. Chaos needs new and better rules more than it needs models.

Lastly, it's been, what, at least 2 or 3 weeks since Space Marines got a new unit no one's ever heard about but has been in our arsenal since the Horus Heresy. Come on GW! It's about time you show SM some love!

except model wise Chaos HASN'T been left to Rot. and the people claiming this are just silly. are some of the chaos models getting a bit old? yes, but a new kit isn't NEEDED. meanwhile sisters are still metal figures. chaos could use a update. Sisters NEED a complete new mini line.

CSM get a codex nearly every edition with new models to boot. I don't understand how that's any form of neglect.
Yes. The rules aren't strong in the current meta and they need a formation set, but same goes for a number of older codexes. Sisters need more work and more things at the moment which is why I think the CSM claim is gak.
CSM need to get in line behind Sisters and stop getting their power armour in a knot just because someone dares to come along and say that CSM don't need it as badly.
And I say that as someone who got back into the game with CSM after missing an edition and a half.

Sisters can spend their turns fortifying paths, searching for holy relics to arm their girls with, etc.
Fixed it for you, now it's perfect .

I have a small army of both (Just because I like to build and paint different things sometimes), and I have to say sisters need the love FAR more than Chaos.
Don't get me wrong, Chaos does need some help, but they are miles ahead of sisters as far as quality goes. Not to mention I'd like to see sisters get their models back so the people who enjoy them can actually build armies out of them.
@Gamgee. Dude, Dark Eldar got a full reboot not too terribly long ago as far as GW standards go. Far more armies need love before they get a whole new line.
