Hi, how many attack dice do I roll with if a character of mine has both an assault weapon and two CC-weapons? Could I declare that i will now wield my CC weapons and stash the assault weapon for this charge?

If the assault weapon is one-handed, could I then declare which other single CC weapon I'd like to wield in the other hand? As long as they are free, it would be nice to bring more so I'd be prepared for different enemies.

You only get a bonus attack from weapons if you use a CCW, and a pistol or another CCW. I.e. an ork boy with a slugga and a choppa has 2 attacks base, plus another 1 from the pistol/CCW. Assault weapons simply allow you to charge after shooting them.

Models are not limited by "hands" (with the semi-exception of weapons specifically with the "Two-Handed" rule) - a model with two close combat weapons and a ranged weapon is assumed to be able to stow the ranged weapon safely away whilst fighting in hand-to-hand (with a strap, harness, holster or mag-lock).

So for example Necrons (models that can choose melee weapons) can have voidblade and hyperphase sword for free, in other words regardless of what they already have, i should grab one or two of those where possible (unless already have a two-handed weapon)?

You can choose what weapons you use in any phase that they're viable in. Storm Shields have a limitation specially for this kind of situation.
Harold carries an axe, a pistol and a shield. Usually a model can only carry two weapons but HQs and characters sometimes get the better end of the bargain. A Storm Shield prevents Harold from claiming the extra attack even though he carries two CC weapons.

Actually I got questioned as to why I wasn't shooting the pistol in melee. Is there anything that says the pistol can or can't fire in melee? The pistol description is kind of vague about it, saying the pistol can be fired in close range and both can be fired if you have two but it never actually stated melee.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

A new day, a new time zone.

Which is why you can't use it in close combat. It can be counted as having a CCW profile and towards having an extra weapon, but you don't shoot it.

*edit*
Whoops, forgot the actual rules. Page 30, shooting 'shooting is done in the shooting phase,' and a couple lines down, 'you cannot target a unit that is locked in combat.' You also have overwatch later that calls out it bening an exception.

Thanks for clarifying, I thought that was the case.
The AP5 would be nice though...

A new day, a new time zone.

My brain is full of holes today - aside from the above rules, page 41 literally has the heading - 'Pistols as CCWs' near the bottom of the page which outright says that you ignore the shooting profile.

They cannot have both for free. They can swap their Staff of Light for either.

Are you a Wolf, a Sheep, or a Hound?

Ah yes its clearly written in the book, I see.

If I gave a destroyer lord the Solar Staff (which replaces the staff of light), that means I can not give him one of those melee weapons as well, seems he is not meant to have both CC and ranged weapons.

Yeah, Necron weapon options are extremely limited, probably deliberately. No turning random Overlords into walking blenders like your average space marine captain.
