It is the 3rd Millennium. For more than a hundred months Games Workshop has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Nottingham. It is the foremost of wargames by the will of the neckbeards, and master of a million tabletops by the might of their inexhaustible wallets. It is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with business strategies from the early Industrial Revolution Age. It is the Carrion Lord of the wargaming scene for whom a thousand veteran players are sacrificed every day, so that it may never truly die. Yet even in its deathless state, GW continues its eternal vigilance. Mighty battleforce starter-sets cross the online-store-infested miasma of the internet, the only route between distant countries, their way lit by a draconian retail trade-agreement, the legal manifestation of the GW's will. Vast armies of lawyers give battle in GW's name on uncounted websites. Greatest amongst its soldiers are the Guardians of the IP, the Legal Team, bio-engineered super-donkey-caves. Their comrades in arms are legion: the writing team and countless untested rulebooks, the ever vigilant redshirts, and the writers of White Dwarf, to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from other games, their own incompetence, Based Chinaman - and worse. To support Games Workshop in such times is to spend untold billions. It is to support the cruelest and most dickish company imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of sales discounts and Warhammer Fantasy Battle, for so much has been dropped, never to be re-published again. Forget the promise of cheaper digital content and caring about the fanbase, for in the GW HQ there is only profit-seeking, Space Marines and Sigmarines. There is no fun amongst the hobby shops, only an eternity of raging and spending, and the laughter of former employees who left GW to join better companies. |

You can swap Heavy Flamer for Chemical Flamer (I think). There is no such weapon as Heavy Chemical Flamer.

Yes there is. One of the purge detachments special rules is that it allows you to upgrade ANY flamer or missile launcher to the chemical version for free, this is a free upgrade because these weapons keep their base profiles and simply add the "shred" and "gets hot" keywords to said profile so its a double edged sword.
So there is such a thing as a heavy chemical flamer, its just a regular heavy flamer with those 2 keywords, so template, strength 5 ap 4 shred and gets hot.

Master of Ordinance is an advisor for the IG CCS. I suspect that you want Ordinance Tyrant as HQ instead.
However, OT lets you take artillery as non-compulsive troop slots. You must still have two troop choices from the regular army list.
The Crimson Slaughter doesn't add any synergies to the list. Zombies would be a better (cheaper and not depending on an IC) choice for meatshield.
Most people wouldn't find gunline armies fun to play. No mobility, no real tactical choices and auto-loss in objective grabbing. Add two Rhinos filled with CSM and/or a Nurgle bikerlord with Spawns for protection.

The book is clear, it even gives you the weapon profile for a Chemical Flamer.
There is no weapon profile for a Heavy Chemical Flamer, don't make up weapons rules from thin air.

Yes, Ordinance Tyrant is what I was referring to. Renegade field Artillery battery is a regular troops choice in this codex, so that should take care of the troops choices, not to mention that "the purge" formation only requires 1 HQ and 2 Elites as a minimum requirement. The main reason for using the cult of slaughter detachment is for the special rule of D6 models per unit coming back every turn and I already have the models. Well, I guess I'll have to wait for the Chaos FAQ to come out and see if that gets addressed, but in the meantime, I will use common sense and assume that the "heavy chemical flamer" was just an oversight by the rules writing team.

Yeah it does say ANY flamer or missle laucnher. One is safe in assuming that means any, including combi-flamers and heavy flamers. And seeing as the only thing it does for flamers or missle launchers is add shred and gets hot, then its not much of a jump to know what a heavy chemical flamer is rules as intended.
