If I give VotLW to a Chaos Sorcerer, does it get LD 11, or are all stats capped at 10?

Not all stats, but most are.

Check out page 8 (Models & Units -> Modifiers) explains about the cap of 10, and which two stats are not affected by it.

Note that it's still relevant - a psychic power or other effect could temporarily reduce the leadership of the Sorc, resulting in Multiple Modifiers (also explained on page 8).

Don't have the book on hand but I believe VotLW itself has the "LD10" limit built into it, which is why people like Dark Apostles can take it for free (as it gives no actual bonuses and is merely a formality).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Yes and no, it says it gives "+1 Ld ( remember that...)" So it just gives you +1, but it refers to the BRB rule that you can have more than 10.

It also mentions that if a model already has it then it's already included in the profile - which messes up my earlier mention of Multiple Modifiers, in a similar way to Space Wolf Thunderwolves.

Hmm, good point. That never came up in my games. So does this mean all our special characters only have Ld 9 lol and the prince even 8 XD ? While our generic HQ can happily eat a Ld debuff of 1 and still have 10Ld.

It's laid out at the start of the BRB - attacks and wounds are the only stats NOT capped at 10.

"-Nonsense, the Inquisitor and his retinue are our hounoured guests, of course we should invite them to celebrate Four-armed Emperor-day with us..."

So from a rules standpoint, it appears it's capped at 10, thus disallowing Leadership 11.

If we purely consider a HIWPI/Intuitive perspective, then a model/unit with Ld 11 has a 1 in 36 chance of failure as opposed to 1 in 12 for Ld 10. This is a massive advantage that I think no model/unit needs.
