On a surly Warboar, leading the Waaagh!

I have a feeling the intent of this law is going to back fire. Is it not better to see the truth in these situations, good or bad, than have a result with only speculation upon which to respond?

It's a bad law but our legislature is on a real roll lately with passing terrible laws. It's like the Republicans want to make sure they go another 100 years without having majority control again.

On moon miranda.

Hrm, I have a feeling this is not only going to add fuel to the fire, but also get shot down once challenged in court. Publicly employed officers using publicly owned equipment to record encounters with the public...in public, are probably going to be a slam dunk 1st amendment case.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

Illinois has similar provisions to avoid trying a case in the court of public opinion before the actual trial. But when you pull the stunt that the Cook County State's Attorney did and sit on the evidence for a year without doing anything the intent of the law is perverted. People don't seem to care much about what the video actually shows anyway. They tend to make up their opinion first, then shoehorn it into the evidence.

Well, people get the information from the media and the media is much more concerned with ratings/clicks than with objectively informing the public with the facts.

And people reward the most shocking, outrageous claims with ratings/clicks/views, failing to punish said outlets when they are serially dishonest. So really any way you slice it, the general public is at fault.

If only more of us were willing to tune in and boost CSPAN's ratings. Truly we get the governance we deserve.

Our police force serves us, not the other way around. If you are worried about lawsuits from dashcam and bodycam videos, then train your fething police force better.
