Okay so I know this is going to be a bit basic to a lot of the models out there, but I have never tried to build a mini like this. I want to build a Leman Russ mini. I know the Peimarchs are must larger than there legion men- and I want that to be represented- this is the hard part. Dose anyone know where I can get a model that is in power armor, and is roughly the right size for this? Also is there anything advice wise I should know before I just jump into this??

A different primarch model would be the best place, probably Horus or Vulkan.

Most people who build custom primarchs, either convert from an existing FW model or go the route of creating a True-scale marine.

Both of them require a fair bit of green-stuff work and sculpting.

If you can wait a few months, it is rumoured that the actual FW Leman Russ will turn up by the end of the year. We will probably know a little more after the upcoming FW Open day too.

Take a look at Scibor miniatures. They've got some nice big Space Marines.

Stormcast Eternals (aka Sigmarines) are another popular choice.

Thanks guys! I think I may just build the true scale myself and then see if I like the FW mini. The hole point of the project was just to give me something to do with my hobby time between painting more space wolves, and the madebess of my current job. painting an imperial fist army for a client.

My first thought was Scibor for the size.
