Tactics:
Starweavers with embarked Troupes, Autarch, Swooping Hawks (maybe) and Voidweavers (maybe) all start in reserve, depending on board setup, first turn.

Dark Reapers deploy with Shadowseers in each corner of deployment in elevated positions with cover if possible. Shadowseers either roll once for invisibility or just roll both on Phantasmancy for Stealth Shrouded power to preserve Dark Reapers and keep them shooting. Using Veil of Tears to make them immune from firepower not within 24".

Wraithknight and Scatterbikes do what they do.

Troupes come in turn 2 on a 2+, pop Mirage launchers to have at least two turns of firing before having to jink, if they survive can be used to grab objectives.

Swooping Hawks shred light infantry/can target flyers/can use Haywire to strip of hull points.

Troupe Master Warlord rolling for +4 to seize the initiative, all Harlequin warlord traits are pretty cool and powerful

I don't think you can have the rose and the caress as they both replace the ccw

For the Rose rather than saying it replaces its close combat weapons, like all other weapon option say, it states "Replaces one of the Troupe Masters melee weapons" I take that to mean I can replace the pistol with the Rose as a pistol counts as a melee weapon in Assault

very interesting. this might work.
only problem i see is that on turn 2, when your troupes arrive, your enemy might already control the board(hordes, droppods etc.).
but then again the wraithknight can too.
you could always drop some reapers for more scattercheese.

The idea is to sit back and draw the enemy out and then cut him off with incoming reserves, also if I reduced the amount of Dark Reapers I would be reducing the effectiveness of using my Shadowseers on them. And I don't want to use too much Scatterbikes as they are too typical in the competitive lists I have seen

Could you think of any way to make it work without the knight?

Ive been trying to think of a way to put the clowns to use myself, but they always seem to lack behind the Craftworlders(obviously). and their expensive no-hq-choice-must use formations ruling does not help.

In this case I definitely need one, the points efficiency, the threat level and the toughness of it. I wouldn't be able to find a suitable alternative.
