This old Ghazzy sculpt may be a bit weedy compared to the Warboss minis of today, but to my mind he's still one of the most brutal, imposing and iconic Ork models in the range, a true classic that can't be replaced. I hope I've done it justice with my latest rendition of the 'ardest warrior of the 41st Millennium

Thanks for looking, please do let me know what you think, and if anyone fancies taking the time to click through to the gallery and cast a vote on him, I'd appreciate it greatly!

Outer Space, Apparently

Probably the best rendition of the model I've seen I particularly love the modification you made to his Power Klaw using what looks like a Deffkopta rotor blade. Now the galaxy's gonna get one propa stompin'!

Thanks! Very high praise!

The PK mod was mostly done out of necessity, as the mini was broken, but I do like the look of the new klaw which is indeed a Deffkopta rotor. .

I see. Was the model a Finecast sculpt or classic metal?

Also you totally need to do Commisar Yarrick now

Metal, I got it second hand for a ridiculous price years ago, so I was fine fixing it up rather than buying a new one!

Ordered the Commissar earlier, so he should be done some time next week! I'll update here when he's painted.

Here's part 2, Commissar Yarrick:

Such a cool model to paint. This one came sans Power Klaw 'fingers', so I converted my own, the long upper klaw blade is an homage to the original 3rd Edition (I think) Yarrick model, which had a similarly slicey appendage on his 'borrowed' Klaw. Other than that, there's not a huge amount to go into, I went for a ivory breastplate rather than metallic just to stand out a bit, and kept the long coat clean and smooth to contrast with both his own Orky weapon and with Ghazzy if I do put the two together in a diorama down the line. In the mean time, here's the pair of them facing off.

As before, any thoughts, comments, feedback and votes are most welcome!

Nice pairing. The lighting in the later pictures shows off Ghazghull better (originally he was just too dark/gritty which kinda removes all the effort probably put into painting him!). Yarrick looks pretty good!

Very nice job of getting the gritty nature of the long and arduous war these two were involved in.

Keeping the hobby side alive!

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.
